Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

BelgiumThe area around the swimming pool could use some updating and some climbing plants in the existing pergolas for shade. The pan that was provided with the induction stovetop was very small since we are a family of 5…but we made it work. I hadn't realized that the place was so far away from most touristic sites which is difficult of you don't have a car.
The rooms were new and very clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good for American standards.

United StatesI went to do laundry and loaded in the soap and clothes and the coin machine was jammed. I went and ask the front desk for help and they said they already knew that it was jammed and not to use it! I said well my clothes are loaded in and soap too i asked if they could open the coin m achine snd they said no only maintenance can and they were there. They said to use a different machine. I said why isn't there a sign on it then if you already knew? If you had put a sign on it I would have used a different machine. Now I've wasted my soap. They then put up a sign and replaced my soap for me. Over all this was an inconvenience but they stay was amazing. It was just time consuming and annoying that the two working the front counter knew about the issue but were just talking away and didn't do anything until I said something.

check in was easy. there were no hidden fees. the room was clean when we checked in and was continually cleaned, bed made and fresh towels every day. the shower was large, had plenty of hot water and water pressure. there was clean dishes and silverware, a coffeepot, glasses. the wifi was good. the tv was new and we could use our firestick on it or get many channels. the bed and pillows were very comfortable. and it was pretty quiet. the pool was nice. breakfast was incredible: omeletes, egg sandwiches, oatmeal,waffles, cold cereal, juice,coffee. and coffee all day long was available.

AustraliaThe hotel and staff were very good, however Booking.com staff were totally unhelpful after I accidentally booked a room with a non cancellation policy. Despite multiple calls and emails a received no service or solution from booking.com and will never use your website again. I didn’t need to change my reservation in the end so it didn’t matter that was booking wasn’t flexible, but you need to have a simple method for customers to correct booking errors, such as a 24 hour cooling off period

United StatesWhen we arrived someone was outside smoking weed.. next The floors and walls were beat to hell and back. You can tell Hilton spent money to make the place look good but the people staying or maintaining the property don't care. Mold was growing in the shower along with hair in the drain. The front desk was rude and uncaring. They have two buildings one for True and one for h ome 2
