Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe loved everything about it.
There’s nothing to not like. The staff is personable and real…and the owner is a fantastic human being! If you are in the area and looking for lodging, or if you want a totally unique experience in a Victorian style bnb, this would be your best option. Clean, professional, cozy and affordable! The breakfast is outstanding…my wife and I rate this place all of the stars and then some!

FranceWhat a place... I think it shouldn't even be classified simply as a BnB, it's so much more. Our room was breathtaking, it's like sleeping in a museum - a clean and comfy one. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to spend too much time there, but I can imagine how perfect it would be to spend a few days in it. Time didn't allowed me to try the breakfast, but judging from the room and the table setting I'm sure it would have been great. (But still: coffee and take-away fruits were available for early birds, that's a nice touch).

United KingdomNothing to complain about but couldn't comment on other parts of the property as there was a stable house and more.
We stopped in the main house which was Amazing- it greeted you like a mansion from a movie! Inside was equally wonderful like entering an Aladin's cave of delights. So,do take time to look at the internal 'everything's'. Furthermore, the owner has local knowledge and was happy to share. Think of this like an adventure into curiosity of time and memories and imagine who or what touched it, in the past. A good fun stop on a road trip North.

United StatesI can think of nothing that would improve this place. More people need to know about this place, and then go there and stay. It is the best value for money for any accommodation I have stayed, in any country, on any continent.
The breakfast was exceptional. The rooms were out of this world. The whole house is a veritable museum with so much class. The host, Pat, is a remarkable woman with some great accounts of her very interesting life. She is also a mine of information regarding where to go, where to eat, how best to get there, etc. This place is vastly underrated and should be marketed better. If you do not stay here when in the area then you have missed out. There is a family photograph with six people on it - take it in, absorb it and go back in time, their rooms are as they were, their beds are your beds, get to know Pat and allow her to narrate, tour the place and its hidden treasures and enjoy the openness that is on offer. This place is for the intrepid traveller with adventure in their souls, it is for the family who care about what their children are exposed to, it is for the romantics among us and for those with their own story to tell, it is for the historian, the geographer, the industrialist and the dreamer.

GermanyThis is an incredible BnB. The house is even more beautiful than the photos suggest, and the breakfast Pat is preparing for her guests every morning is fantastic. We were delighted by the attention to detail you can find in every corner of the house. We definitely recommend staying there for at least two nights.

United StatesBecause the furnishings are likely antiques (and very charming!) the bed in the double room is old and smaller than we would like. The tub/shower is also small, so showering wasn’t the easiest.
Excellent hospitality and amenities. Pat and Rafael were very friendly. So much to discover around every corner. Such a unique and beautiful property with a wonderful outdoor space as well with a hot tub. Loved the breakfast and meeting the other guests!

United KingdomI guess I didn’t like the sound of the air conditioning fans outside but what could be done about that if you like the house to be cool when you need it.
Pat was a very lovely host, so helpful and she is a very interesting lady. Also the young gentleman who helped for breakfast was also lovely. The breakfast we had was particularly special and carefully considered. I loved it and looked forward to it. The mansion house is beautiful, spacious, very clean and uniquely stylised. It felt so much like a home. We were in the top floor and had it to ourselves. Pats garden is full of flowers and birds and we sat out in the evening. I also sat out front on the porch in the morning watching the world go by. There are long views up the hill. The location was great. We visited Falling water house, walked a little in the Laurel highlands hiking trail and went white water rafting in Ohiopyle and ate pizza. I wish we had planned to stay here longer. I would most definitely return and highly recommend staying here with with Pat

CanadaThe soaker bathroom tub is a little difficult to use for anyone with disabilities. There are stairs to navigate.
We stayed in Coachmen’s quarters carriage house. The accommodation was superbly renovated (and clean), quiet, with a rustic modern vibe. The nice touches included a full size coffeemaker (with coffee included), welcoming snacks and a well appointed kitchen. Breakfast was good. Pat is very knowledgeable and passionate about the Manor and the history of the area.

This was the best B&B experience I've ever had, the owner and staff were amazing, my room (the entire property) were pristine and beyond expectation beautiful with all the little extra touches that made my stay exceptional... breakfast wasn't the usual fare... i arrived later in the evening my first night and was greeted by the lovely owner Pat Hill... who welcomed me with warm homemade pumpkin pie , a brief tour of her rightly very proud faciliies, and the perfect amount of conversation... Raphael (the cook and wait staff) made this amazing apple flakey pastry thing with sausages and creme fraise one morning with a magnificent eggs benedict with baked cinnamon apple the next... fresh juices and perfectly made cofffee... snacks and refreshments available all day... I relaxed in the hot tub, enjoyed the fireflies and was directed to a lovely local venue for dinner I will absolutely be returning

Interestingly and lavishly decorated in historical style of the period of its design. The fascinating tales of the original family who built the manor and its subsequent history and transformation. And the generosity of Pat and all the delicious food she provided.

South Broadway Manor is beautiful inside and out. The breakfasts were artistically presented and delicious. I was able to eat outside under the trees both mornings and enjoyed stimulating conversations with the owner, as well as the guests who were on the property. Snacks, tea, coffee, lemonade were available all day as well.

United StatesFrom even before I arrived, Pat reached out with a warm welcome and explained all of the details that I needed for my arrival including where to get a nice meal on the way. The house was absolutely beautifully restored with all the details in check and comfort was at the highest consideration. Pat went above and beyond to provide great restaurant lists, details about how to get to my Frank Lloyd Wright destinations and a wonderful breakfast was prepared by Raphael. The kitchen butler service room was stocked with home made pie, cookies and teas as well as other drinks to make any traveler feel welcomed and at home. The hotel has beautiful gardens with small areas to sit quietly as well as a hot jacuzzi for relaxing at the end of the day. It was a toss up between the jacuzzi and a bath in the claw foot tub in my room. This is a great B&B. Highly recommend to all.
