We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI didn't like that the porch light didn't work and that there were two large stains when I entered the house. The bbq was also filthy. I tried cleaning as best as possible.
I liked the location to the lake. I also like that it fit my kids and my husband and I. The house is cozy.

United StatesThe heat was off when we arrived. The home was 45 degrees inside. Took almost until 3 am to get the house up to the mid 60's using the furnace, two electric space heaters, and a raging fire in the wood stove. Once things warmed up, the furnace was easily able to keep up with the outdoor temperatures and keep things comfortable inside. In the future, it would be nice if someone could turn on the heat several hours before check-in time. Granted the lows that night were in the teens and there had been 1 foot of snow the day before.
Large home, with lots of room to spread out. Had all the necessary kitchen equipment, bedding, toiletries, and some board games. The preteens really had fun selecting a VHS tape from the large selection and then figuring out what a VHS player was and how to use one.

No linens on one of beds ANTS DEAD AND ALIVE IN BED AND ON SLIDING DOOR JAM NEW ANTS EVERYDAY OUTSIDE WEEDS NEEDED CLEARING Calling and using text was a waste of time should have had local number When I spoke to local manager I got some help, otherwise follow-up took 2 days . Bobby and Sean were helpful but Sean didn’t come back like he promised! I HAD AN ANT CRAWLING ON MY FACE WHEN I WAS SLEEPING. The front door couldn’t lock from inside and my 2 year old grandson would open door run out then door locked him out! SCARY! Screens should be on all windows and more fans for summer visits!

United StatesThere was a bug infestation. In the master bedroom there was a nest in the ceiling of big flying ants. While laying in bed many bugs fell on us and flew around our heads. We couldn’t stay in that room and was forced to sleep in the loft with our children. There was an ant trap so the property was aware there was a bug problem in that room and still rented it to us. Sadly there were allot of dead ants all over the floor that was never cleaned up. It was very gross. We contacted the manager and they said they were sending someone to deal with the bugs and no one ever showed up or contacted us.
The house was so cute and it seemed cozy upon entry. Plenty of rooms
