How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We liked everything.
The hotel has been renovated. It looks like new! We especially liked the medium size refrigerator in the room. We were able to freeze our ice packs and place our two cooler bags in it to keep our food cool. Also, it was plenty of parking space for our car and uhaul trailer.

If you served breakfast.
No breakfast. It would have been nice to have it. It was a very short walk to Subway and McDonalds. Location was good; close to the interstate, but far enough away that we could not hear anything.

I was given keys from room somebody was in! And women on reception didn't want to believe me somebody is there! Room was absolutely dirty. Tons of dead gnats. Everything is super dusty, tons of somebody's hair.

Room smelled like mold. No breakfast provided the three days I stayed. I booked online at $77/nite as advertised and the bill was more at checked out.

no coffee or breakfast
Friendly overnight staff woman, the room was super duper clean, the place was full except 2 rooms(according to the nice staff lady) and it was SILENT at 3 am when we got there and laid down.. The bed was comfy, surprisingly there was no highway noise in our room either.. I’d stay again while passing thru on our next road trip!

There wasn't anything.

The lady behind the counter was rude when we needed the password to the WiFi. She kept giving us the WiFi signal but not the password. It was so frustrating.
It was close to Interstate 80.

Tired decor, did not have the iconic Motel 6 look & feel. The decor - & the employees, I’d guess - were leftovers from the former owners/chain. Even the wifi had the old name The shower was nicely retrofitted to be accessible, but I was unable to use it, since it didn’t work!! Frustrating
It was affordable, conveniently located for a road trip, & provided *most* of the basic amenities

We stayed in room 115 and the smell of mildew was overwhelming. It was coming from the air conditioning unit so I had to shut it off. Thankfully, I was able to open the window to get some fresh air but the smell stayed in the room . And then we were hot. Additionally room 115 is in front of the building and it was very bright and the curtains did not block all of the light. No shampoo or conditioner. no coffee pot in the room, as advertised on their website. There is coffee in the lobby though.
The bed was comfortable. Large room. Is very easy access to the highway. Ate dinner at Ruby's and it was delicious. Close to the Dexter field park where there was a shoot out with Bunny and Clyde.

It was comfy. Facilities were nice. It was right off the highway near lots of food and gas stations so it was easy for us to get back on the road. Front desk attendant wasn't the friendliest but whatever

There were dead bugs all over the sink that had obviously been there a while, no shampoo or conditioner in the room, the rooms window looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. Overall cleanliness was terrible!!

Booking.com description says "Featuring ... daily continental breakfast". There was none. Written asked the front desk clerk became dismissive and showed no concern for the the misinformation being presented. And when Tom Bodette said "We'll leave the light on for you" I don't think he meant two high powered flood lights shining directly into our window all night. Also, the water softener was turned up so high that it felt like I was showering with Mazola. In addition, this is a wood frame building so every step our upstairs neighbors took at 5:15 drummed clearly into our room.

According to the website this location has a pool which is why I booked it. We got to the property and lady at the desk told us that the only pool around was up town. The pool at the property had been filled in and covered up.
