Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThey must have had a water leak in the bathroom because the ceiling had water stains and the walls look like the water got behind the paint. The bathroom shower curtain wasn't mounted correctly so the curtain kept opening while i was taking a shower. In the floors had red stains on it looked at me like Kool-Aid.

United StatesWe stayed the first night and then the second day I saw good fish everywhere. We didn’t have any good fish! There was also a shoe found under our bed the second night. I don’t know if someone was in our room or not but we still wonder how the goldfish got in the room on the floor and bed.

United StatesThe property is pretty dated. Our room had a very old smell, not musty but maybe it used to be a smoking room? It was uncomfortable until we acclimated to it. The in-room amenities were really lacking. No mini fridge, only a small on cup coffee maker.

And I booked and paid for the first night with my friends card and my boyfriend paid for 2nd nite with his card. But my friend's card is being charged for both nights. Its been almost a month now so Hopefully can get this resolved soon.

United StatesThe wifi that was "up and down" according to staff was unable to be fixed causing me to miss a meeting and be late for another. I was promised a late checkout since I asked in advance to work around my meeting, yet I was not only told it was not available, but was required to evacuate earlier. I was very upset with this, and plan to remove future reservations unless this is corrected. The employee was snappy and didn't even check.
