Complementary breakfast but everything served with paper cups, plates and plastic cutlery which isn't really acceptable.

Good central location with access to parking garage. Large comfortable and clean room.

The hotel is very central, within walking distance from downtown. We had a walk around, did not see anything wrong, but we later learned the area is not as safe as you'd hope for a family walk.

I liked that I was allowed to store my Bicycle (my mode of travel) in my room. I liked the continental breakfast. I liked the location, in the center of the city and close to a street (Main?) that had a tremendous variety of great, mostly immigrant, restaurants and businesses.

The car garage elevator didn't connect to the main hotel elevator which was a bit confusing.

The hotel was classy and the staff members were attentive. Breakfast was excellent.

My only negative is that the hotel could use a facelift.

The purpose of my stay was for Marist’s parent’s weekend. The hotel was well located, clean, offered free parking and breakfast, and the staff was very courteous.

Decor was dated and bland. The furniture while pretty clean and classy overall had some visible minor (cosmetic) wear. The hardware hooks and closet doors show some signs of excessive wear and need some tlc. None of these are serious enough to be a deal breaker but should probably be addressed in the near future.

Food was awesome, location was nice and great quality. The room was very quiet clean and quaint. But the best part of the room of all was the amazing view from the 9th floor, the big wall to wall window was facing the outdoor courtyard area overlook the Hudson River and the mid Hudson Bridge at night the view was beautiful.

We learnt that the area is bordering an area which is not safe.

The staff did everything to fulfill our wishes ( quiet room with view on Hudson, real cutlery instead of plastic waste ). Loved the complementary breakfast with fresh fruit salad and free cocktail.

I was disappointed with the very basic showerhead in the bathroom. Also, breakfast like this should, in my opinion, not be offered at all. This was a breakfast that looked like someone thought "what's the least I have to do to claim I'm offering breakfast". Luckily, when you're in downtown Poughkeepsie, there are other options.

The staff manner was very brusque and rude. Not happyv with the staff at breakfast either. The fruit served at breakfast was rotten

The hotel was a typical hotel, drinking water was not available which is a BIG negative for me. While an ice dispenser was available, not water dispenser was....I think water is a basic necessity that has to be provided to a residing guest

Room needed maintenance. Ceiling above window was peeling and falling on floor due to prior water damage. Toilet seat was loose and toilet ran. Seems like the toilet running would have been noticed by cleaning staff.

Breakfast was very good, much higher standard than other more budget hotels. Location was great, parking was free. Bed was comfortable and 4 nice pillows provided.

The second double bed in our room felt really bad. We only needed one bed so we didn't use the other one, but the mattress one sank unevenly when I sat on it for a second. It would have been a really poor night of rest if anyone had slept on it.

Complimentary breakfast in a ballroom! The food was good and setting was much better than a typical hotel. Very high ceilings and chandeliers. They switched us to a different room right away without any questions when we complained about entering our room and smelling old smoke. Competitive pricing on a busy weekend in August.

There was a smell of cigarettes in the room that they tried to cover but it was unpleasant. The bed was not comfortable.

The rooms were large, there was a bar onsite, very friendly staff.

The Hotel is under new management and services have been reduced. Staff also is less helpful or knowledgeable. The area around the hotel has declined over the past few years as well. This time I arrived to check out and was told that shuttle service to the train station would start later that morning, something not told when I enquired about the train shuttle service upon arrival. They would not arrange for an alternative nor call a taxi which I was told to call myself. The front desk guy obviously could care less.

I have stayed at this location about 6 times in the last 6 years or so. I chose it for being close to the train station, the free shuttle they offer to and from the train station, the large rooms they offer and it being downtown. It is mostly used for conferences and weddings as far as I can tell. Meal and bar services are somewhat limited but good and reasonably priced.

Location was perfect. We stayed at the hotel because we were attending a concert at the Civic Center. We had to walk a few steps and we were there. It was also central to a few bars and restaurants, which was great for our stay.
