Very Nice Place... Charming. Alejandra The host speaks very well English which is a plus for someone who do not speak very well spanish like me... She is very discreet and assisting, it is rare to see such level of Professionalism and kindness actually, she is a very very kind person who makes you a stay an unforgettable experience. Arranging, great professional reactivity, if you travel like me plane or boat, it is always a relieve and a Great Pleasure to be back at Edificio Quijano, trust me you feel even better than Home there ! The building is charming, the house, some plants, trees in front I Love it. I do not have time to leave comments generally, but this experience should be shared and to thank for all efforts and kindness from the Host. I canno't be more satisfied... Location very easy to reach, Cleaness, Space, Kitchen with a very clean facility, fridge, Bathroom, everything you need and was above my expectations and of course Booking should be proud to have such Professional Ambassadors, in this case in Montevideo, Uruguay. If I have to return to Montevideo, I will automatically see if Edificio Quijano is available, I truly recommend this place and send my very best wishes to them.

The neighborhood is noisy at night, but the unit itself is private and well-insulated.

Alejandra was the consummate hostess, giving advice on where to eat, how to get to places, doing my laundry (!), always warm and tolerant. The balconies were really pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. It is not fancy - the furniture is older and not necessarily "matched," but I don't care about that and I had all surfaces and places to put things I needed.

Alejandra, Enzo and their cute dog) were very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed. I had a big and very clean room. The century old house is homey and a great place to stay as it is close to the old town. Highly recommended!

This is a very authentic place in the very heart of Montevideo. It is managed by an Uruguayan family. They are so hospitable and friendly, I just love Alejandra and her handsome husband. This place is not about luxury, this place is about great atmosphere of Montevideo. Super friendly, clean, secure, absolutely authentic. Also there is a cafeteria Las Cabras, just in front of the entrance on the opposite side of the street of Carlos Quijano. Start you morning there, take a coffee with biscuit, sit and relax, breathe, watch, smell, absorb. Leave extra tips for baristas, they are awesome and doing great job. Walk slowly for a few blocks to the Intendencia building, 10:00 am, observation platform opens. Here it is, Montevideo.

Super good place for a lower price and very comfortable room. Location is very central. Especially the hosts are so nice. We can communicate with each other in English very smoothly. I ask her if I can use the washing machine and she told me just bring the cloths into the machine and she will take care of the rest. And then after 3 hours I found my clean and dry T shirts in a bag on the table! What a service!
