How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Although the breakfast was good, we were served an English breakfast with bacon before being offered an alternative
Beautiful clean and comfy. Louis is an amazing host who is very knowledgeable about the area. He really made us feel welcome and at home

The Manager cooked the breakfast in a small kitchen attached to the dinning room. With just 3 couples at breakfast, the 1.5hr wait was a bit too long. The manager seem overwhelmed and yelled verbal abuse at her one kitchen staff, causing her to breakdown and cry. I believe she needs assistance as she rushed between Reception, booking in/ out, preparing breakfast etc. This is too much for one person to handle.
Breakfast was great, when it eventually arrived. Loved the little veranda outside the bedroom, the bathroom and bedroom was awesome.

Beautiful house, lovely room. Very friendly and helpful owner. Best breakfast ever. extremely well located from the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. we would put a score higher than 10 if it was possible !

We really loved it here, it was great value for money. But I guess a couple of tiny things; the pool was quite dirty, lots of leaves etc in it so didn’t really want to swim, this is not a big deal though as there was plenty other stuff to do in St Lucia! and one thing to note if you don’t have a car, there are hippos that roam the town at night so just watch out if you are walking in the streets at night. We didn’t see any, but did get a lift a few times just in case.
Our stay here was amazing! Michelle was a great host, always there to help us with anything we needed and cooked a great breakfast. She even gave us a lift to town a couple of times as we didn’t have a car. The room was perfect, nice big beds and a small outdoor seating area. The outdoor pool space was lovely too, very luscious with all the trees.

I liked everything from the easy booking process, the warm welcome by the host and the property its self was amazing and nestled in a peaceful suburb. The breakfast was also amazing.

Nice and very clean room with beautiful outside area of the property. The staff and owner are such wonderful people wanting the best for you and helping in every way they can. we really enjoyed our stay even though it was short!

there is no proper shutter for the window, so the sun shines bright early in the morning .. Pillows are a little bit too thick

The Breakfast can it be a buffet so we can get lot of options. if the food is dished is not easy to choose as you eat was is on the plate and leave the food you don't want. But A Buffet we will only dish the food we need.
The location and place everything about it is pretty as the Picture. Michelle is very sweet and Friendly to her guest and makes sure they get best service. the place is located closer to the beach and the place is very nature green like its watered daily saw little monkeys lovely.

The Hosts are excellent! They catered to our every need. The breakfast was absolutely divine. Michelle even made us delicious take away breakfasts on mornings that we went out early. Rooms are basic, with everything you could need.
