The staff were not super attentive; the dorm beds reservation system wasn't enforced... settled into a bed and came back later to find someone in there who claimed he had stayed in that bed previously, even though the staff told me to take it and that it was free.

Very beautiful view, good vibe, popular spot with many travellers and locals alike. Even the dorm rooms had nice views out to beach.

I was missing some shelfs or something similar in the washroom to put down belongings while showering.

A wonderful location! The staff are all very cheerful and I loved waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Thursdays are open mic days which was fun. A great place to meet fellow travellers and enjoy the beauty of Wilderness.

the bathrooms were quite small and not very practical

The staff was very nice, the location is great with only 3 minutes walking from the beach, and our room at the top had the most wonderful view over the beach. The hostel has a really nice terrace with lot's of seating, a pool table, a bar, and a pizza oven. The place overall had a very nice vibe, and is a local hang out place, especially on open mic nights!

What an amazing place, with the best location and view ever. Great staff, beautiful surroundings, space to do my yoga practice in the morning :D, good food and coffees and just in general good vibes. I stayed in two different private rooms - I adored my Room number 1 especially. Would come back any time.

Great location! Beach house with a sea view close to the beach. Walkable distance to the shopping centre. The owner Annie is one in a million - she was welcoming, visible, and interacting with the guests.

The bathroom only has 2 stalls and 2 showers for a hostel that hosts a lot of people. The showers are also see through and when the doors to the bathroom stay open it doesn’t provide a lot of privacy.

Great views and walking distance to the beach which was amazing! The bar is a fun place and there was live music while we were there. Bonus is they have friendly dogs who love to say hi!

Location ia great, with a nice view over the sea. The atmosphere at the hostel is great, with a nice bar and nice staff.

The bathroom is quite small, women's bathroom with two showers and toilets for many dorm guests, and needs some shelving. Despite frequent cleaning, it is simply worn and needs refurbishment.

The location is ideal at this hostel overlooking the beach. My dorm had 12 beds, but the room was spacious, facing the sea. There were no curtains, with an open view, also for late night visitors on the terrace outside, which didn't bother me, but it's good to know. Beds were comfortable, towels can be rented, and bring your shampoo and soap for the shower. There is a small kitchen and fridge for guests, but do bring sugar, oil, etc, as there is only salt. Bring or buy drinking water, and no alcohol can be brought in, as there is a bar on the premises.

Limited menu at restaurant

Thrilled with my stay at Wilderness Backpackers! The breathtaking views, proximity to the beach, and a charming bar added to the experience. The restaurant offered essential delights, and the spacious room (1) boasted amazing views. A perfect blend for a memorable getaway!

At times the bathroom was slightly messy (water from the shower on the floor) but this was only the case for a short period of time. There were also instances where no staff were available to take orders at the bar area.

Food options at the backpackers were great - simple pizzas, sandwiches and breakfast options and coffee. Staff were really friendly and the room was always clean. Location was excellent as the hostel is only a short walk from the beach.

Bathrooms small.

The location is amazing, the view from the 14 man dorm is out of this world. The dorm was spacious and the staff super friendly. Nice little bar serving good pizzas.
