Hard to find anything -if I had to be picky I would say the pool are needs a little revamp.

This lodge had the wow factor from the moment you walk in . Beautiful decor and lots of smiling staff.The bedroom was stunning very spacious and lots of personal touches that made you feel special. The breakfast was the best I have ever had . Loved sitting with other guests in the eve around the fire pit .The Safari with Stephen exceeded our expectations. His knowledge and demeanour was first class. In fact we find ourselves missing his frequent comments of ‘very nice’ when we spotted anything of any interest😊. He genuinely did his upmost to give you the very best experience and we appreciated that . We never felt it was pre planned or rushed. We were extremely fortunate to see so many animals the highlight for me will always be the Cheetahs.

Our experience at Karongwe Becks Safari Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and unforgettable. The facilities were top-notch, offering a perfect balance of luxury and authenticity in the heart of the wilderness. Every detail, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the serene common areas, reflected the lodge's commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction. The highlight of our stay, however, was undoubtedly the game drives. Our guide, Freddie, was exceptional—his deep knowledge of the wildlife and the ecosystem made every drive an enriching adventure. He effortlessly spotted all the big fives and shared fascinating insights, making the experience both thrilling and educational. The lodge's attention to detail and the team’s passion for hospitality made our trip truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely amazing and there was not anything that we would change about our experience

We had such an amazing time at Becks - Johan & Adelina really took care of us so well and we were absolutely spoiled. They really took time to check in with every guests and I really enjoyed the conversations that we had at the lodge. The food was amazing and every meal was so good & you could tell that the team really put alot of effort into the dining experience. The interior of the property was really pretty and cosy - we really enjoyed lounging in our rooms and common areas. The highlight of our stay at Becks was probably the game drives - we were super lucky to get Stefan (guide) and Alfred who were so knowledgable about the bush. While we got to see the animals up & close, I really appreciate how respectful the team was towards these animals. I would highly recommend Becks to anyone who is looking to do a Safari stay and experience. You will not regret it!

The staff were all so great and friendly! Especially Johan and his wife and our guide Frankie and Gabriel, they made our stay such a comfortable and enjoyable one. Saw all of the big 5 and many other animals like cheetahs foxes, bush babies, giraffes too. Very highly recommend this place as it doesn't have too many guests at once so you feel you have your space too.

This was by far our best accommodation that we had in South Africa, there is nothing we didn't like - we hope to be back soon ☺️

We simply loved this lodge and our stay here!😍 We actually liked it so much that we extended it by another night. The rooms are beautiful with direct views onto the river where you can spot different animals walking by. But the best thing about this lodge is the people who work here! First and foremost, Johan and his wife Adelina, who are the managers - they are around 24/7 for any queries you might have. They made sure that we felt welcome at all times and that we were enjoying our stay to the fullest! To us, it really did feel like a home away from home! 🙏The rest of the staff are also really nice and we especially loved the food! We are real foodies who eat out a lot, and the food we had here was amongst the best we had on our whole trip - the chefs are very well trained and talented! This was our first Safari, and we enjoyed it a lot. We didn't know what to expect, really, but the guides and trackers were super kind! The price per night includes two game drives of 3 hours each (one morning and one afternoon drive) and this makes it really good value for money, in our opinion. We stayed 4 nights and managed to see all of the Big 5 animals! What we also really liked is that the reserve only allows 2 vehicles per animal sighting, so you don't feel like you're intruding the natural space of the animals. Overall, this was an amazing experience. If you're looking for a unique getaway or a honeymoon-type destination, this should be it ☺️

More drinks could be included- when having sparkling water with dinner and having to pay extra it detracts a little from the luxury experience.

Attention to detail was nearly faultless - staff all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food all excellent quality, prepared and presented with passion. The setting can’t be beaten - looking out over the reserve from your balcony or breakfast table.

As soon as we arrived at Becks we were greeted by Johan and Adelina with the highest level of hospitality. Everything about this lodge was exceptional; from the setting, the food, the staff and service. The attention to detail the staff provided throughout our stay went over and beyond our expectations; the small touches really made us feel special. The game drives were also lots of fun and we were lucky enough to see the Big Five during our time. Special mention to our tracker Gabriel and guide Evans who gave us the experience of a lifetime! We loved everything about our stay, it was above and beyond our expectations. Intimate lodge in the Karongwe game reserve. Everything was 10/10 - rooms, food, presentation, service, views, game drives, welcome shots and hot towels when we got back from the game drives, the animal visitors to the lodge during the day, the friendly staff! The pool is also super nice (but kinda cold) (for me) and I'm not great with cold water.. But other than that the view from the pool was great and I did manage to get in once to watch the Zebra drinking from the river :) (it was flowing during our stay so lucky with that!)

Becks itself is beautiful, but what made our stay perfect was the staffs! Their lvl of service, hospitality, attentiveness & extraordinary effort to make everything as perfect as possible. Reine, beck's manager was especially helpful , making sure every guests are taken care of. She even did the extra miles of finding me ice blocks from town (about 1.5hours away). The service staffs, Moses, Rizen, Chef Jeanette made us feel like a family. The game drives were really good, our guide Matthew and tracker Raymondo always tried their best to try and find the animals that we would like to see, making sure we are safe. The bush walk and anti poaching walk were very interesting & recommended Staying in Beck's is not just about safari, but about feeling so comfortable like they are at home. Their, little touches and smiles warms our heart. We were really sad to say goodbye, but definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Truly amazing. We’ve never been so well looked after in our lives! From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The staff are friendly and the location gives the most amazing views whilst having meals. The rooms were so comfortable and were super clean. The entire property was well maintained throughout. Johan and Adelina ran everything impeccably and organised a couple of trips for us; the bush walk being a highlight. Our game drives were simply wonderful with Evans and Thomas who were happy to pass on their knowledge of the bush. We saw all that we wanted to, and more, often being so close to the animals whilst always feeling safe with our guides. Special thanks to Shirley, Rizen, Josina, Rueben and chefs Helen and Jeanette for their care and kindness. Thank you to all the team. Thank you for looking after us so well whilst we were with you, you made us feel like family. We will be hurrying back.
