The crockery and cutlery are not clean. And need some bowls. Utensils plastic was dirty and burnt. Single bed in room very noisy.

Other units had electricity ours did not, upon arrival I was told that there was power issues. To my surprise the unit next to mine had power.

Everything thing about the property, a weekend is not enough at this place. I would definitely go back again. only that this time I hope our unit will have electricity.

Noisy group, excessively so, from the camp area. Otherwise a really great break-away.

We didn’t realise it was a place where there would be a lot of young children running around and a large number of their relatives gathering to socialise. We had been looking for a quiet country resort. I guess we should have checked before we went.

The setting is spectacular. Beautiful scenery, very lush, three dams stocked with bass for fishing, horse riding, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable cottages.

No curtains in front of second bedroom window only a blind that was not sufficient when light are turned on in side. Crockery has gold trimmings and can not be used in microwave, please supply additional bowl to use in microwave. Wifi not strong/fast enough and Netflix keeps hanging.

This is the second time we have stayed at Silver Mist. Scenery, setting beautiful and well relaxed. Service is really good! I do however want to highlight the facilities ito the kitchens. The utensils are limited and not always of endured quality. Knives, mixing bowls, maybe an extra drying towel and cleaning cloth. Rooms need mirrors, either behind the door or on the inside of the cupboards.

All in all experience was good. Via booking.com it is just misleading as the site does not indicate whether the room you booking is wheelchair friendly or not. They did however go out of their way to accommodate us by swopping out chalets.

There are fabulous forests and orchids to walk in, some marked and distance measured trails would be awesome. There were boats but broken or no oars.

The beautiful views, cottage had everything you would need, full DSTV with a large modern TV. Friendly and helpful staff (particularly Precious and Norris). Horses and other animals in good condition with neat and clean living environments.

The mattress in the main bedroom needs to be replaced. Other than that everything was good.

The resort is well located at the top of Magoebaskloof. The units are very clean, comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. Wood is supplied free daily for the fireplace and to braai. The staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist us.

The aircon wasn't working

The bedrooms were cold and we could not use the heaters because our chalet`s electricity was running on invertors, sleeping wasn`t a problem because it didn`t take long to get warm on bed and they provided us with an extra warm blanket. There was also no TV but that actually worked in our favor because we really had an opportunity to bond and be away from screens. In essence the not so great things weren`t that bad actually.

The resort is amazing, the horses looked well taken care of and were beautiful to see everyday. We liked that they had a fireplace with wood that was replenished daily. The staff attended to us and we felt safe and well taken care of. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The chalet itself was good. Being surrounded by all that nature as a city dwellers was spectacular. Also there was always hot water for showering, which was great because its winter time now. Would love to experience it in the summer time.
