I did not hear the people that live there for the entirety of my stay. The pillow and mattress was super comfortable!

This 3-star hotel with free WiFi is located near the A59 motorway, just 2 km from Cologne/Bonn Airport. It offers a daily breakfast buffet, peaceful terrace and free parking. The place is very homely, with lovely furniture and many little corners with plants, flowers, and little trees. The staff is friendly, the clutter of heirloom objects lying around is charming, and breakfast was great. Nearby is a nice neighborhood pub where you can eat and drink. The people are very friendly and welcoming. It's extra close to the airport, which is why I stayed there in the first place. Great value for money!

Akazienhof Hotel & Brauhaus offers free parking, affordable and convenient accommodation in the Porz district, close to Cologne/Bonn Airport. I have stayed here many times and always works out perfect for me. There is easy parking right next to the entrance door to the hotel. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are perfect. Clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are nice. There is a very nice breakfast that is included in the stay. There is a nice bar below the hotel so if you get back early enough from your day's activities you can enjoy one or many drinks in the bar and go up to your room and no worries about how to get home legally. The price is very good. I believe it is close to the airport or so I have read. It is an easy drive to the Cologne Cathedral which is a MUST see. Stunning. And the epic Cologne Christmas Markets have to be seen as they are so amazing and that is why I was there the last few times and midnight mass on Christmas Eve at the Cologne Cathedral MUST be attended because it is so beautiful and moving. I have attended it 3 of the last 4 years. I should point out they are closed on Christmas Eve and I stayed here for the Christmas Markets and not midnight mass. I answered the one question about being a romantic place to stay as yes because of the restaurant and bar below the hotel. A nice couple wanting a fun and relaxing evening can have a nice meal and many drinks in the restaurant and bar and then wonder up to the room with no worries about how to get the car home or finding a taxi or looking for an Uber. I will stay here again next year if I attend the Cologne Christmas Markets.
