I loved the ground floor decoration as well as the decoration of the room. The bathroom was new, the shower very comfortable. The hotel is very super mega clean. The breakfast was amazing. The very secure parking very conveniently located as it was the hotel!

Firstly, the people were excellent. Friendly from the moment we walked through the door, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The rooms had everything you need, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was clean . Oh, the restaurant dinner was first class! The lamb was done perfectly and the vegetables were delicious!

This hotel was really a surprise. We booked late in the afternoon on the way from one place to another. It was so comfortable! It was immaculately clean and there is a nice restaurant attached as well as a cute gift shop. The items in the gift shop were unexpected and very reasonably priced. I bought a few Christmas gifts here. I would highly recommend this hotel I also want to mention the front desk clerk was as nice and friendly as she could be. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

A 5-minute walk from Ypres’ market square, La Porte Cochere offers elegant country-styled rooms situated in a historic mansion. Free Wi-Fi is available. Loved it. Characterful period building close to the centre of Ypres, an easy walk from the station in one direction and the Cloth Hall and restaurants in the other. Charming bedrooms and bathrooms. Delightful hosts who welcomed us to their home and were interested in our reasons for visiting without being intrusive. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Would certainly return next time we are in town.
