We were accommodated in one of the small size rooms, but it was still big enough for two people. For breakfast there was a huge selection of delicious foods, cooked and raw. The restaurant in the courtyard has an excellent menu and atmosphere.

Danube Plaza Hotel is situated in the heart of Ruse and right at Svoboda square. It offers air conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi access and a variety of restaurants. The staff are super lovely, the location of the hotel is excellent. Breakfast may be a little surprising to the first time traveller to Bulgaria but it is substantial and varied. You can sit outside and view the square with coffee and just chill. The restaurant food is very good too if you don't want to go out for a stroll, but it's hard not to with so much going on around you. Lovely for the solo traveller and for families.

The building of the Anna Palace Hotel was built in 1888 and is an architectural monument. The hotel's façade has been restored to its original neoclassical style. Very good location - value for money - friendly stuff!
