Family-run for 150 years, the Boutique Hotel Balm is located in a green suburb of Lucerne and features a gourmet restaurant with fish and other specialities and offers free WiFi in all rooms. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and very clean, with a huge bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were spotless and snow-white. The terrace was amazing, with a stunning view of the mountains — truly unforgettable. The breakfast was excellent: delicious, fresh, and varied. The staff were outstanding — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.

Thee location was absolutely perfect; the bus stop was right in front of the place, which made everything incredibly easy. It truly met all of our expectations. The family-run Seehotel Gotthard in Weggis on the shore of Lake Lucerne, 25 km from Lucerne, offers 2 restaurants, a pizzeria, a bistro and rooms with scenic views and free WiFi. We spent a week in the hotel in April. It is a beautiful property and a great base for walks to Hertenstein, Vitznau and to the cable car to mount Rigi. The hotel is near the ferry dock which provides an easy way to reach the many small pretty towns on the Lake Lucerne. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is simply delicious! It is a very good opportunity to sample local breads, cheeses and cold meat cuts, and the hostess will also cook eggs to your liking. Our room with the lake view was so pretty! Highly recommend the hotel.
