We absolutely loved this hostel. We had room 8 with a beautiful view and a private terrace. We spent our entire rest day here enjoying the restful atmosphere and watching the tide go in and out. We made use of the lovely common spaces in the hostel as well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Chile, with hearty homemade seed bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, and eggs made to order. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Located in a rural spot on the waterfront, Cabañas Palafitos Los Pescadores provides free Wi-Fi in Castro. It lies 5 km from Castro city centre. A well-equipped and pretty cottage. Also extra services available, like hot tub. The location practically on the beach — nice for walking with dogs (the cottage pet friendly). Friendly staff. Great value for money.

More than 30 years ago, the Hotel Unicornio Azul gave life to an old wooden house from the 20th century built in 1910. Very quirky hotel with excellent views and interesting history

Palafito Azul Apart Hotel offers self-catering accommodation with free Wi-Fi in Castro. The city centre is a 15-minute walk away. Airport shuttles can be arranged for an extra fee. Very nice attendant and she helped us by washing our clothes. The views were amazing and it had all working essentials.

Panamericana Hotel Ancud offers accommodation with a large garden and terrace, right in front of the ocean. Free WiFi available, as well as free private parking. We liked the style of the building, the style too. Great view from the room and the dining room. Good choice of breakfast but no cereal. Enough car park space. You can actually bird watch from your room.
