Located in Las Trancas, 12 km from Nevados de Chillan, Duub Hostel provides accommodation with water sports facilities, free private parking, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The host and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful with everything! We loved the whole atmosphere of the hostel. Came back for a second time and definitely will come back for a third ;) All in all one of the best hostels we visited in Chile!!!!

We stayed in one off season and they were cheap. The rooms in the hotel were more standard size. They person who registered us was personable and very helpful.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and barbecue, Cabañas Aliwen is located in Las Trancas in the Bío Bío Region, 14 km from Mirador Ski Lift. Free private parking is available on site. Our stay was just perfect! The cabañas are literally next to the main road, but just enough off the road to give you an "in nature" feeling and not hear any traffic. So, very quiet and cozy! The area itself is very spacious, with a playground for kids, horses and a laguna. The owner was very friendly: we received information how to get there beforehand, and he even heated up the cabañas for us! The weather was really cold during our stay, but the oven heated up the cabaña very nicely- we didn't freeze when it was -2°C outside. Beds are comfy and kitchen was well equipped. Also, we had cellphone reception there.
