The room and attached bathroom were spotless and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Qiiet and I slept like a baby. Breakfast was nice. The location in the middle of the small village of Azay Le Rideau and close to the chateau is great. The staff, Thomas, Elisa and others are very helpful booking the restaurant for us and assisting. Their breakfast is very complete and a nice set-up. Restaurants nearby are charming. I had a tea break in the afternoon with my son at Biscuithé and it was awesome.

After a little bit of adventure to find this glorious historic place, I received a very warm welcome from Tattou, an affectionate Shih Tzu, and once I had made my way to the door, from Pascal. As many others have commented, the place is glorious and the result of some 15 years of restoration. I enjoyed my attractive and well equipped room and a great private dinner cooked by Pascal, all at a very fair price. The Manoir is well situated for travellers ( like me) on the A10/A28 although your Satnav might struggle. Sadly I didn’t get to appreciate the garden ( mid January stay) although Pascal uses his produce to decorate the place: glorious Annabelle hydrangeas firmed the centrepiece of the arrangement in the stylish dining room. I also enjoyed Pascal’s knowledgeable wine choices.

With it's own private lake and gardens and it is a heritage site. It is set in a very quiet area but still it is only a short drive to the centre of Vendome. The host is super friendly and have to say it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My first stay in a castle was full of delights! The staff were incredibly welcoming, sharing the castle’s history and guiding us through all the public rooms. The biggest surprises were encountering Giovanni’s paintings and spotting a replica fireplace from Chambord Castle. Our room had excellent natural light and ventilation, and the entire castle smelled of warm frankincense and sandalwood. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options. The goat cheese paired with orange zest jam was delicious, and their honey is a must-try—highly recommended! Plus, the castle’s location is ideal, just a short distance from Blois and Chambord Castle. Dining options nearby are convenient, and you can even book ahead for a Michelin-starred meal.

Way outing the country, this custom-built add-on to a farm is exquisite. Spacious, cleverly designed and elegant. The super-king bed is super-comfortable. We were there in deep winter, but the room was very cosy. Excellent walk-in shower. Madame takes very good care of guests, and serves an outstanding breakfast, with home-made yoghurt and jams. 15 minutes from beautiful Chinon where we enjoyed a top class dinner (au Cafe Chaud).
