Boasting a terrace and views of garden, B&B Vassy Etaule is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Avallon, 22 km from Vézelay Basilica. This place was really superb. You need a car to get there as it is located just outside of Dijon. It is worth getting a car just to see the place: it is essentially a mansion just outside of a now derelict cement factory that they have artfully and tastefully integrated into their property. The grounds are large, dotted with places to lounge, relax and enjoy. The swimming pool (heated!) is worth using, also because it has been built into the remains of the old factory. The entire estate is tastefully done, with no expense spared. It is no surprise that the breakfast is super, too. Deserves the 10-Star rating and well worth a stay there.

Set in a 18th-century building, Les Glycines Vézelay is a boutique hotel offering accommodation in the heart of Vézelay, a short walk from the central square and the Basilica. Simply perfect. You can hardly stay in a more beautiful place!

Located in the heart of the Burgundy region and a few minutes from Saulieu, Mont-Saint Jean and Beaune, Le Domaine des Prés Verts Spa offers accommodations surrounded by nature. Wow great place to stay, we had the attic room which was immaculate and so well equipped. Breakfast was fab too and served to our room. Visited the restaurant which was not on site and wow what a location!

Set on the banks of the River Cousin, this former 12th-century mill is located in Morvan Natural Regional Park. It offers a flowery terrace by the river side. The grounds were beautiful and the spa was a lovely feature. We were only there one night and the staff allowed us to use it beyond the stated hours which was so kind!

This 18th-century mill is now a 3-star hotel located in the Burgundy region. It offers a garden in the heart of a forest, on the banks of the River Cousin. I loved the remote and calming. The dinner with the course opions were amazing.

Former coach house, this hotel is situated in the heart of Vézelay. Well-known in the area, it accommodated the actors in the famous French movie La Grande Vadrouille. Nice family atmosphere with very accommodating staff. great restaurant

Set 11 km from Morvan Regional Natural Park, Auberge du Morvan offers 2-star accommodation in Alligny-en-Morvan and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The location was wonderful, in a peaceful village in the heart of the Morvan. The room was lovely, with views out across the countryside, and we enjoyed a very pleasant meal with excellent cooking of local dishes and service. The staff were very friendly and helpful
