Lots of hot water for the shower. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty, full English if you wished with other options as well. The food in the pub was excellent as was the beer. A very convivial place!

We were pleasantly surprised by the menu in the restaurant, very high class food, very delicious, including the breakfast a la carte. The staff was very friendly.

Built in the 17th century, the Bird in Hand Inn retains many period features including Cotswold stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is a large fireplace in the winter and a terrace for summer dining. It’s a lovely building very warm and well preserved. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and well equipped. Good mattress and pillows. The food in the restaurant is absolutely amazing the same with the beer and wine. However the real gem is the staff. Young, polite, smiley people, all you hear is “we most certainly can”! Really lovely to see a group of young professionals running this place to such high standards.

The Crown Inn is a beautiful building dating from 1633. Surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside, you can enjoy excellent views across the Golden Valley. The room is very comfortable, especially the bed. Food is great and staff are friendly and helpful. Always great to stay there.
