Breakfast was a good selection of breads, meats, cheeses, cakes and fruit, nuts and yoghurt. Lots of drink options. Also cooked eggs to order. Location was a half hour walk to Acropolis, lots of nice coffee shops and bars on the way.

Varaba Country House di Markopoulon menyediakan akomodasi khusus dewasa dengan taman, lounge bersama, dan teras. The whole place was very tastefully decorated. The room was exceptional, cosy and full of character and so was the dining room with a cosy fire and the chance to chat to the other guests over dinner. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I wasn't disturbed by any airport noise. The taxi was booked for me to go to the airport which was only about 10 minutes away. The evening meal and the breakfast were excellent. The owner was professional, helpful and friendly as were Bruno (the dog) and the cats. I would definitely stay here again. The owner has exquisite taste.

Located in the picturesque area of Plaka, the 2-star rated Sweet Home Hotel is 400 metres from Syntagma Square and the metro station. It features elegant accommodation and a bar. Beautiful small hotel with wonderful staff. This place is SO clean you do not need plates because you can eat off the floor! Excellent value and if we visit Athens again we will 100% book again.
