Good range of food and drink for breakfast in the restaurant, which had nice views of Matsuyama Castle. Very kind and helpful staff who always helped with our questions. Bed and sofa were very comfortable.

This is an excellent hotel with a good location. We booked the Japanease style room. The room was a little small for 3 people, but the futons were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. AC works fine. Breakfast was very good.

Boasting a 390-year history, Funaya offers hot-spring baths, a beautiful Japanese garden and a sauna. We had the junior suite with an amazing view of the city and the Matsuyama Castle. Our room was top notch with living room, bar area and separate bedroom. We loved it! The staff was efficient, polite and very professional. the location was perfect, just a walk down the hill to the famous Dogo onsen shopping arcade and train to castle.
