Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Situated in the popular Dogo Hot Spring area, Onsen Ryokan Dougoya provides traditional Japanese-style accommodation with natural a hot spring bath and a lovely garden. Very nice traditional house, nearby dogo onsen. The staff were so welcoming and the owner recommended us to go to a local festival in the city park. It made our stay!

The night view from our room and from the outdoor bath was spectacular. We forgot two items at the hotel, and the staff looked diligently to find them and mail them to us. There were no non-smoking rooms to reserve, but the staff had made sure that there was no odor in our room. The shuttle service was exceptional.

There is also easy access by tram to sights and restaurants in central Matsuyama, as well as Matsuyama Station. Breakfast was great, the onsen and garden were nice for relaxing and the staff were helpful.
