The guesthouse and the rooms are super clean just as the bathrooms. You have a big common area downstairs with free teas, coffee and cookies. You can also buy for a very cheap price cup noodles if you’re feeling lazy to go out. You also get free body soap and shampoo to enjoy the onsen! But the best part of the stay was Shumpei. He speaks very good English and he goes all the way out to make your stay the best possible. He helped me to get the tickets for the best baseball match I’ve ever seen.

Beds are comfortable, everything works well, good value also.

The services offered are truly outstanding: free happy hour, 24-hour coffee and drinks, a smoking area on every floor, vending machines, microwaves, and beautiful, well-curated amenities. The room was extremely comfortable, with a great bed and a spacious, modern shower. You can feel the attention to detail and the guest’s well-being. Also, the location is strategic, perfect for exploring the area. My sincerest compliments to the hotel manager and the entire staff: a wonderful example of Japanese hospitality.

Boasting a 390-year history, Funaya offers hot-spring baths, a beautiful Japanese garden and a sauna. Wonderful & pleasant staff. Loved their service & bkfast & dinner. Thanks for serving us our French dinner even when we r an hour late.
