El millor lloc on m’he allojat mai. El preu es mes alt del que em solc gastar però val la pena 100%. Tot està cuidat al mínim detall. Moltes amenities, personal fantastic, el lloc es preciós… ens van deixar una yukata i fins i tot tenen una estanteria al passadís amb coxins extra per si en vols un altre.

L'Oyado Koto No Yume es troba a 2 minuts a peu de l'estació de Takayama i ofereix habitacions d'estil japonès amb un toc de color. Aquest ryokan, ens va proporcionar una entranyable experiència d'allotjament tradicional, amb una espaiosa habitació de tatami, ús de yukata que et proporcionava l'allotament, i també de kimonos. El personal molt amable i atent.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Gran espacio. Onsen espectacular.

Located a 5-minute drive from Gero Station, Kawakamiya Kasuitei offers traditional Japanese-style guestrooms featuring tatami (woven straw) flooring and hot spring baths in the Gero Onsen area. Guests can take advantage of a complimentary taxi service from the station, made possible through a partnership between accommodations in the Gero area. Upon arrival, the staff warmly welcome you and graciously escort you to the lounge. Tea and light refreshments are thoughtfully served while you wait, creating a sense of attentive care from the very beginning. The facilities are immaculate and well maintained. The property offers open-air baths, a private bath available by reservation, and separate public baths for men and women, allowing guests to fully appreciate the relaxing hot spring experience. Gero itself is a charming town that can be explored on foot in about 30–40 minutes. As the ryokan is located slightly away from the busiest area, the atmosphere is peaceful and pleasantly tranquil. This was my first experience staying at a ryokan, and the traditional Japanese cuisine was truly excellent. Breakfast was equally satisfying and beautifully prepared. If the opportunity arises, I would be delighted to return in the future and share this experience with my parents.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. Our host went out of his way to make our stay the best. He drove us around, made reservations, shipped our suitcases, and was always available to help us out. The breakfasts were both beautiful and delicious. The property is very special and was clearly cared for in a loving way. We couldn’t ask for a better host than Tai.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. This is my 3rd visits to Takayama this year during different seasons and this trip is mainly as a base for visiting Kamikochi. I booked this inn away from city center to experience the hospitality of a small family-run inn and the dining experience with wine pairing. Auberge Hida no Mori didn't disappoint 🙏🤗

El Sumiyoshi Ryokan, situat en una casa unifamiliar històrica a tan sols 1 minut a peu del mercat matutí de Miyagawa, al cor de la localitat de Takayama, ofereix allotjaments acollidors d'estil... L’amabilitat i la simpatia del personal, ha sigut una estada molt comfortable tot i ser curta. Recomano provar l’esmorzar japonès que ofereixen ja que permet assaborir els plats típics de la zona i és excepcional. És un lloc molt autèntic que recomano molt, una gran experiència.

Set amid a beautiful landscape in Okuhida Onsengo hot-spring area, Yamazatonoiori Soene offers beautiful rooms in a Japanese style with river or garden views. This place was incredible. I cannot write enough good things about it! The service was above and beyond (even relative to the generally high standard in Japan). The food was delicious and plentiful, and the whole place was so serene. There are three onsen options - a "regular" public one, three private ones on a first-come-first-serve bases, and an outdoor public one with incredible views of a waterfall. We visited all three and all were great. We never had trouble getting one of the private ones when we wanted to, and the others weren't crowded either. The staff and waiters were very helpful and accomodating, and the whole experience was thoroughly relaxing. Worth noting that a short walk (maybe 5 minutes) from the hotel is the start of a hiking trail with amazing views (a good way to fill the time between soaks ;) ).

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. A great place to experience Ryokan style accommodations. Fabulous dinners and Japanese breakfast. Clean if simple onsen facilities and spacious Japanese style room with semi open tub.
