Kaname Inn Tatemachi is set in Kanazawa, 800 metres from Kenrokuen Garden and 1.1 km from Kanazawa Castle. The corner room was an exceptional space- beds really comfortable and wonderful large windows. The staff could not be more helpful and the bar was a joy to visit.

Featuring panoramic views, 8 dining options and shops, Nikko Kanazawa is conveniently located right in front of JR Kanazawa Train Station. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and the classic music which was played in communal areas. The warm decor throughout the hotel was lovely and although it is a large hotel it felt cozy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and really helpful sorting out any query or issue we had. The size of the bedroom was brilliant very big for Japan with wonderful bathroom facilities and an amazing view of Kanazawa. The vegan breakfast in Benkay was a wonderful experience as well as beautiful food and excellent service which we will not forget. It was a really clean and comfortable hotel and a wonderful place to stay. The location was great also, close to Kanazawa station which has lots of lovely shops and places to eat. It is also very near bus connections for day excursions to world heritage sites Shirakawa-go or Gokayama. There are stunning night views from the sky bar which was not over priced and I understand has live music for guests some nights which I am sure would be wonderful.

Offering a shared lounge and city view, Kanazawa Guesthouse Stella is situated in Kanazawa, 1.5 km from Kanazawa Castle and 1.5 km from Kenrokuen Garden. Wonderful guesthouse in the heart of the Higashi Chaya district. Kanazawa is a very walkable city and we loved staying in this historical part of town. The bds were comfortable, the property spotless, and our guest was extremely helpful and had many suggestions. Would definitely recommend!

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Kanazawa Station, Ryokan Yamamuro offers Japanese-style guestrooms with free WiFi. Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle Park can both be reached with a 5-minute walk. Ryokan Yamamuro is a traditional Japanese inn run by a mother and her son Bungo. The place is incredible; the rooms are clean and beautiful, it’s perfectly situated, and the hosts are kind beyond belief. Bungo took his time explain Kanazawa, and recommend activities based on what I liked. For the facilities, the onsen of the Ryokan is also wonderful, and the futon bed is comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough for travelers, it’s definitely a must if you plan on exploring Kanazawa.

HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Kanazawa features a fitness room, restaurants and spacious rooms, just a 5-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. The service and amenities are superb. We were given bath salts and we can borrow hair styling tools. The hotel staff also helped us with luggage transfer.

Within my stays in Japan, this one exceeded my expectations the most. We were received by several employees who helped us with the bags and showed us around the hotel. They are super helpful and nice. At the time, it also had free shows on the main hub, and we got to watch a live piano performance. It is very well located, literally next to Kanazawa Castle. Additionally, it had an onsen and public baths, very clean and relaxing (and spoiler alert, free ice creams :) ) Perfect stay for resting, exploring the city, and enjoying a bath at an onsen.
