J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. The hostel was fantastic. We rented a tatami room, which was spotless, very comfortable and with a really nice view. The onsen was amazing, we absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, there were snacks, eggs to boil in the onsens in town and all cooking and serving tools to eat them afterwards. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. This was our favourite stay along the Kumano Kodo, despite being the cheapest.

Waqoo Shitaderamachi is situated in Tennoji, in Osaka. The accommodation is 500 metres from popular areas such as Tsutenkaku and Shinsekai. The concept is nice, everyday you have a special breakfast linked to it ! Staff was amazing as well

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a pretty good location with lots of restaurants nearby. 10-12 mins walk from bus stop or train station which is reasonable. Shower was good and futon bed comfortable. There's a lounge area where you can have food and chat.
