Hotel Nikko is centrally located in Kumamoto making it an excellent choice for any visit. We stayed for 4 nights and truly enjoyed the place. Rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities available. The breakfast on the buffet on the 2nd floor had one of the best choices we have seen so far in Japan with locally sourced products. In the same building as the hotel there is also a Japanese restaurant, there are few set menu available for hotel guests - it’s an excellent choice and the food was delicious.

Beautiful Ryokan in a great location. The onsen is lovely and the food is absolutely amazing. The little details provided by the staff really made the experience feel special and personalised (from the welcoming message, gift for the kids, help with the bags and detailed explanations). The room is also beautiful and well equipped. I left wanting to stay longer :-)

The staff are very professional and organized. I really appreciate that they took my special requests seriously. The service is superb. The place is so beautiful, spacious and clean. The food is great.

Only a 5-minute walk from the centre of Kurokawa hot-spring district, Kurokawa Onsen Ryokan Ichinoi offers Japanese-style accommodations with Japanese Yukata robes. The room was big and spacious. Enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor. They even had a private bath. Both dinner and breakfast were authentic and delicious. Staffs were very friendly and could converse in English. Overall was a good and relaxing trip, except for the road going up to the ryokan was very narrow.

Boasting individual Japanese-style houses and maisonettes with a private open-air hot spring bath, Ryokan Kono-Yu is nestled in lush greenery in the peaceful Kurokawa hot spring area. We were blown away by this wonderful accommodation and staff. The team who looked after us were the warmest, most helpful people and the ryokan itself was simply stunning. Having our own private Onsen was amazing and the tatami room was very stylish . Dinner and breakfast were delicious too - we can’t wait to stay again in the future.
