Open from September 2017, The Celestine Kyoto Gion is set in Kyoto, a 10-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station. Guests can walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in 15 minutes from the property. I absolutely loved my stay. The hotel is very well located and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The room isn’t huge, but it’s beautifully decorated, well equipped, and feels incredibly comfortable. I especially loved the view from the room overlooking a small garden, it creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere that really enhances the experience. The lounge is also very pleasant, especially with the happy hour. And the onsen available to guests is a huge plus , a perfect way to unwind after exploring Kyoto. Honestly, no cons to mention. The hotel feels brand new and offers excellent comfort and service. Highly recommended.

Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei ligger gunstig til i sentrum av Kyoto og har concierge og gratis privat parkering. The staff was excellent! They were exceptionally professional, kind, and proactive. The room was very comfortable, and the food was pretty good. The location is great, being in front of a small creek that has cherry trees that are fully blossomed, making it a perfect location for Sakura viewing without crowds. It's also 10 minutes by foot from Kyoto Station, and many of the bus lines that go to the most popular attractions.

Newly opened in August 2016, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae offers accommodations with free WiFi. The hotel is directly connected to JR Kyoto Station and a 4-minute walk away. Very well located, staff is very friendly, I also made the mistake to forget my AirPods after checkout which they offered to deliver to my next hotel Highly recommend

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei ligger en 10-minutters spasertur fra livlige Kawaramachi. Her tilbys du en turistinformasjon og bar i 1. Har sjelden følt meg så hjemme på et hotell. Alle som jobbet på hotellet tok seg god tid og ga gode råd. Hotellet og rommet var sjarmerende med sin tradisjonelle utforming- men med velfungerende aircondition og alt annet vi trengte. God frokost. Perfekt beliggenhet- nær severdigheter og restauranter- men i en rolig gate uten mange turister.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. We had SUCH a great stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel. The location was wonderful, we were in a trendy area with lots of great shops and so many restaurants, yet it was quiet and chill. There are also some nice museums in the area. The room itself was perfect, a big room, comfortable beds, clean. We also took advantage of the wash machine, although it was popular with other guests, it helped us get our clothes clean mid-trip. The staff is super friendly as well.

The ryokan is also very child-friendly — they provided a baby chair during meals, offered a small-sized yukata for our child, and even adjusted some dishes to be more kid-appropriate, all while keeping the flavors authentic. The location is perfectly situated in Kyoto, close to key sightseeing spots yet tucked away in a serene and quiet area that feels like a hidden gem. The highlight of our stay was the kaiseki dinner — a multi-course meal that was not only beautifully presented but also rich in authentic Japanese flavors. This ryokan provided the perfect balance of cultural immersion, comfort, and family-friendly service. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to families or anyone seeking a warm, authentic Kyoto experience. Definitely will come back again!

Nestled in a quiet residential area, Kyoto Brighton Hotel is located in the heart of Kyoto, a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Imperial Palace. All guest rooms are non-smoking and soundproofed. Utrolig stort og flott rom. Veldig gøy med egen te seremoni utstyr på rommet i tillegg til tekanne og flere ulike teer. Sofa, skrivebord og stort bad var det også. Personalet var veldig serviceinnstilte og hjelpsomme. Fin beliggenhet i koselig nabolag uten nesten noe turister. Tror hotellet brukes mye til bryllup. Her bor jeg gjerne igjen
