A large hotel 3 building complex just 2 minutes away from the main tourist area in what appears to be a quiet residential area. The staff were welcoming and the food was great. Plus the reservation automatically came with a private hot spring rental for 50 minutes which everyone should definitely try.

Hotel Nikko is centrally located in Kumamoto making it an excellent choice for any visit. We stayed for 4 nights and truly enjoyed the place. Rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities available. The breakfast on the buffet on the 2nd floor had one of the best choices we have seen so far in Japan with locally sourced products. In the same building as the hotel there is also a Japanese restaurant, there are few set menu available for hotel guests - it’s an excellent choice and the food was delicious.

They have free pick up and drop off. Their ryokan is very well maintained. The service team is excellent. The location is perfect. The food was extremely good. They even have a really nice private onsen.

Construído em 1722, o Okyakuya está situado no bairro histórico de Kurokawa Onsen. The staff was very attentive and took time to explain the ryokans layout as well as show us where everything is. The food was delicious and arranged beautifully. The portion size was just right. There are multiple baths which depending on the time switch between mens and womens baths. Soaking after a meal or right after waking up really heals your body and mind.
