Set in Yufu, 48 km from Crasus Dome Oita, Ryokan Yamanami features accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and spa facilities. We stayed at Mangetsu room and it was amazing. The room is very clean and equipped with everything I need. The outdoor onsen is open air but still very private, it's totally recommended for couple. Staffs were very helpful and kind too. One more thing, don't turn away just because you see they don't serve dinner or breakfast in room. They do it with purpose that you will get the best view when you are eating. We wished we can stay longer and will come back someday.

The service is awesome! All the staff, from the reception to the dining room, are extremely helpful and friendly. The room is spacious for even five people. Their onsens are well maintained and beautiful. Dinner and breakfast Kaiseki are beyond my expectations.

This place was an experience, a high class adult amusement park: amazing restaurants, very comfortable, shopping and convenience stores, incredibly helpful and kind staff, super clean rooms. Highly recommended! Amazing view and the shuttle was so convenient.

The best part about this hotel is the free all day dining food! It tastes really good we even skipped some of the meals to come back and eat at the hotel! Menu varies throughout the day and the bread options was so delicious! Highly recommend for people who don’t mind having to explore local food for every meal.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ryokan Yamanoyu. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were very flexible with arrivaltime. They went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs, showing exceptional care and effort. Their kindness and high level of service made our stay special - thanks! The onsens were a highlight—especially the outdoor ones. The variety of both private and shared baths allowed us to enjoy peaceful, relaxing moments in beautiful surroundings. As it's a smaller ryokan, the atmosphere was intimate and personal, which made our experience more unique. We stayed for two nights, and the ryokan surprised us with two different dining experiences in two separate rooms. It was a fun and memorable touch—and the food was excellent on both nights, beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Ryokan Yamanoyu and would love to return one day. Located in Chikushino, 500 metres from Buso-ji Temple, Daimaru Besso has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food was delicious. Service was relaxed and friendly. The garden is incredible. The hot spring bath was so relaxing and well kept up.

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Lovely location. In room onsen was so awesome to have. Views from the balcony were exceptional, mountains, the city and the sea. The food was absolutely gourmet level and was a highlight for us. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

Yunohira Kamiyanagiya offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Crasus Dome Oita and 16 km of Kinrinko Lake. Best experience of our lives! The food was the best food we have ever eaten and the staff and service were superb! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Japan and want a truly authentic experience stay here.
