Ryokan Yamanoyu is gelegen in Minamioguni, op 40 km van Aso vulkaan, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Loved everything about this ryokan, staff were really kind, food was exceptional and onsens were very good too.

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Solid as heck it was my first ryokan it was just simply amazing, and the pudding in the hotel is the best pudding in all of japan !

Het Okyakuya is gebouwd in 1722 en ligt in de historische wijk Kurokawa Onsen. Het ligt op slechts 100 m van Kurokawa Onsen en biedt gratis WiFi en privéparkeergelegenheid. Cannot recommend this ryokan enough. Amazing service, clean rooms, and one of the best service from the staff in my experience (all were exceptionally friendly and helpful). Great attention to detail as well (left our shoes by the heater so when we checked out our feet were nice and warm). The food is also another highlight. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. If you’re not a fan of horse sashimi, do not worry, the taste is not strong. Light enough for you to try something new and finish the portion. Onsens were also great. I love how they swap female and male baths depending on the time of day so you can try all they have to offer. There’s also two private baths as well for couples who want to go together. Place is also tattoo friendly (my husband had on his shoulder but it was not brought up). Thanks for an amazing stay!

Yunohira Kamiyanagiya is gunstig gelegen in de wijk Yunohira Onsen in Yufu, en bevindt zich op 16 km van Kinrinko Meer, 33 km van station Oita en 37 km van station Beppu. Best experience of our lives! The food was the best food we have ever eaten and the staff and service were superb! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Japan and want a truly authentic experience stay here.

Yufuin Ryokan Yamanami is gelegen in Yufu, op 48 km van Oita Bank Dome, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The baths were so lovely and accommodating of kids. The breakfast was amazing and different everyday. We didn't try the dinner as it was quite expensive and our kids can be fussy (and loud...) but it smelt amazing!!!!
