The service is awesome! All the staff, from the reception to the dining room, are extremely helpful and friendly. The room is spacious for even five people. Their onsens are well maintained and beautiful. Dinner and breakfast Kaiseki are beyond my expectations.

Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Nikko Kumamoto features accommodations with free wired internet access and views of Kumamoto Castle. Everything from the lobby to the room was excellent. Clean facilities, genuinely friendly staff, a lovely view, and a bed dressed in crisp, comforting linens. The hotel isn’t brand-new—it’s more like it’s been around long enough to learn good manners. And honestly, that quiet elegance is part of the charm.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff is very nice, the food is great, the room is big and perfectly equipped.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ryokan Yamanoyu. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were very flexible with arrivaltime. They went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary needs, showing exceptional care and effort. Their kindness and high level of service made our stay special - thanks! The onsens were a highlight—especially the outdoor ones. The variety of both private and shared baths allowed us to enjoy peaceful, relaxing moments in beautiful surroundings. As it's a smaller ryokan, the atmosphere was intimate and personal, which made our experience more unique. We stayed for two nights, and the ryokan surprised us with two different dining experiences in two separate rooms. It was a fun and memorable touch—and the food was excellent on both nights, beautifully presented with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Ryokan Yamanoyu and would love to return one day. Located in Chikushino, 500 metres from Buso-ji Temple, Daimaru Besso has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food was delicious. Service was relaxed and friendly. The garden is incredible. The hot spring bath was so relaxing and well kept up.

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Top notch. Half board meals incredible. In room hot spring bath was wonderful. Excellent service

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. Simply - and by far - the best place that we stayed at while visiting Japan. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The Japanese style rooms are lovely and they have a great view. The food is delicious. The Kaiseki is nothing fancy, but it is all very well prepared and a great experience. There are various onsens, most of them we could enjoy almost by ourselves. Definitely recommend Okyakuya to anyone visiting Japan!

Yunohira Kamiyanagiya har en praktisk beliggenhet i Yunohira Onsen i Yufu, 16 kilometer fra Kinrin-sjøen, 33 kilometer fra Oita stasjon og 37 kilometer fra Beppu stasjon. Such a wonderful experience!! It was my father's first time staying at ryokan and he absolutely loved it. The property was beautiful, staff incredibly sweet and friendly, and the meals delicious. The property has indoor and outdoor private onsens. Truly a relaxing experience being in an outdoor onsen, especially in the morning. There is a free coffee machine for espressos in the lobby available at certain hours. We booked with the breakfast and kaiseki dinner included. Everything was delicious and the staff are so on top of bringing out the next course. Lovely experience tucked away in a beautiful mountain setting. Highly recommend staying here!!

I Yufu, 48 kilometer fra Oita stadion, ligger Yufuin Ryokan Yamanami, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. The staffs are all nice and kind in introducing the room and surroundings. The foot onsen us worth trying and the outdoor Onsen is comfy and the view is wonderful.
