Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). The place is so clean and cozy. The free brekky and dinner were great too

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. Erinomainen palvelu ja ystävällinen henkilökunta, siisti huone, erittäin hyvä japanilainen illallinen sekä ilmainen shuttle lauttaterminaalista.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Everything!!! I can't explain how this stay exceeded our expectations. The kindest people, most beautiful view, cozy feeling and just made us wish we stayed there longer.

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. I had a wonderful time at Kikunoya. The bath was great and the dinner was amazing. Special thanks to Azusa Yamamoto for being so attentive and helpful.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. The BEST! Great customer service! GREAT GREAT GREAT

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Beautiful ryokan-style guesthouse, 15 mins walk from the ferry terminal so slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area near the terminal. Incredible traditional Japanese breakfast and lovely shared bathroom with huge bath tub! Very close to beautiful white-sand beach!

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Palvelu oli erittäin hyvää ja ystävällistä. ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Our room was incredible. It was one of our favorite rooms we stayed in during our two weeks travelling across Japan. It had so much character and beauty, from the tatami matt flooring, paper screen doors, beautiful wooden flooring in the bathroom, and bamboo weaving on the ceiling banisters. In our room, we had a fine view of the bustling streets of Miyajima. It was a great view for people watching as tourists and locals visited stores and restaurants. The dinner was great, made with fresh ingredients. It was no doubt one of the best dinners we had in Japan. It consisted of multiple courses, and you were able to choose preferences for each course. This was a nice surprise, as we had stayed in another ryokan in Hakone a few days prior that did not offer a selection for the courses. The sashimi was super fresh, and the pork tonkotsu was terrific.

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away. Mainio sijainti ihan rannassa, lähellä lauttaa ja temppelialuetta. Tosi siisti huone. Myös perinteinen pieni ”kylpylä” kellarissa. Erillisestä varsin nimellisestä maksusta sai myös aamiaisen. Pidimme kovasti!

Situated within 2.3 km of Tsutsumigaura Beach and 600 metres of Five Storey Pagoda, Miyajima Hotel Makoto provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Miyajima. Tilava huone, hyvä palvelu kaikin puolin. Vaikka aamiainen ei ollut mahdollinen, saimme listan hyviä aamiaispaikkoja lähistöllä.
