Surrounded by lush greenery, Mampei Hotel offers free WiFi and free on-site private parking. JR Karuizawa Station is a 10-minute drive from this non-smoking accommodation. We had a wonderful stay at Mampei Hotel, a beautiful hotel with a long and rich history. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Mr. Komiyama (if I got his name right), who went out of his way to assist us. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, and it was special to stay at a place once frequented by John Lennon. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a private onsen bath, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The scenic drive in and proximity to the old Ginza street added to the charm. A truly memorable and happy experience.

Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. I can't begin to describe how good my stay was here. The accommodations were amazing. The room was warm and cozy. The building was beautiful and looked new and clean but, had the charm of an old traditional Japanese home. I came to snowboard and they had a room to store and dry all my wet gear. They were able to handle shipping my snowboard to and from the airport with Yamato transport. There is a direct bus to and from Shiga Kogen every day as well. There is not an onsen on site but, you can buy tickets to various local onsens, all of which were spectacular. All onsens had an indoor and outdoor bath. Breakfast was served every morning and, it was great to eat and chat with other travelers. Truly, the best part about staying here was the owners themselves. Yoshi and Seong-mi were two of the kindest, most friendly people I've encountered on any of my trips across the world. They made my experience feel like I was staying with my brother and sister. In fact, the whole town of Yudanaka felt like home to me and, I know this is a place I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. Location is superb. The shuttle was really helpful. The service is impeccable. Breakfast was amazing.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. The hosts are so nice and they picked us from karuizawa station to the hotel and sent us to the station after check-out. They also drove us to the hot spring nearby with bath towels provided. The homemade breakfast was amazing as well. We will stay there next time for sure.

Oshi Ryokan is located in Nagano, 20 km from Zenkoji Temple, 22 km from Nagano Station, as well as 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo. Exceptional accomodation offering comfort and exquisite cuisine right next to Togakushi Houkosha Shrine. The Hostess greeted us and gave us a tour of the expansive ryokan. Our tatami room was wide with a beautiful view of the yard. Our sumptuous dinner was beautifully presented in a dining room, there were 5 exquisite courses from fresh and delicious ingredients. Breakfast was wonderful as well. We had a wonderful and restful sleep on the tatami as rain drizzled throughout the night. The hostess gave us an early farewell as she had to attend a hospital appointment for her husband’s diagnosis. We wish her and her family well, and appreciation for their wonderful hospitality and exceptional meals. Highly recommended stay in Togakushi!

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Omistajapari oli todella ystävällinen ja avulias! He jopa veivät Jigokudanin puistoon autolla. Majapaikan sijainti oli täydellinen, se oli onsen-kujan varrella. Myös etäisyys Jigokudanin puistosta oli hyvä.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Amazing hotel for a ryokan and onsen experience! Staff was very kind and welcoming and dinner and breakfast were super delicious! There were shuttle buses from the station and to the monkey park which made our trip very comfortable.

Located in Nozawa Onsen in the Nagano region, Peanuts House Kumakuma provides accommodation with free private parking. The owners were so kind and it felt like we were at home.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort, Hotel Montblanc provides heated rooms with free WiFi and a private bath. It features a hot spring bath, ski storage. Service here is the best! Definitely recommended.
