There’s simply no words good enough to describe a little hidden gem like Raicho. Everything was perfect here. All the staffs speak perfect English and they would drive you from the bus station or to the dinner place whenever they are available. In Winter they are the only party that operates kamikochi tours which on a sunny day is a once in a life time experience. The outdoor onsen is amazing in the snow (dont get scared off from the cold). The fireplace is beyond amazing and all the people staying there are friendly, dormitory are surprisingly quiet at night and the beds are so comfy and warm. It almost felt like we were in Switzerland or something. Ten of of ten experience.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. We loved this hotel within walking distance from the lovely central shopping street. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent.

Exceptional accomodation offering comfort and exquisite cuisine right next to Togakushi Houkosha Shrine. The Hostess greeted us and gave us a tour of the expansive ryokan. Our tatami room was wide with a beautiful view of the yard. Our sumptuous dinner was beautifully presented in a dining room, there were 5 exquisite courses from fresh and delicious ingredients. Breakfast was wonderful as well. We had a wonderful and restful sleep on the tatami as rain drizzled throughout the night. The hostess gave us an early farewell as she had to attend a hospital appointment for her husband’s diagnosis. We wish her and her family well, and appreciation for their wonderful hospitality and exceptional meals. Highly recommended stay in Togakushi!

The location is very central and gives you access to all of the bath houses. There beds were traditional as expected and traditional clothing was made available for your use while experiencing the onsen. Meals were not in Ryoken but there were options available nearby for each meal and all the food options were delicious. The hosts were kind, knowledgeable and so attentive. They also have a private outdoors onsen in their ryoken as well as a shared bath in the bathroom. Highly recommend, the whole experience was so peaceful! I would definitely stay here again!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. It looked great, very japanese style. They provided yukatas to use in the hotel and at town. We had access to the onsen in the hotel, which was beautiful and really confortable, and also acces to the onsens around the town. The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing.

Starting from the warm hospitality from Mr.and Mrs. Kobayashi, the best hosts we have ever met. The place is very clean and very well taken care of. Great rooms with comfortable beds. The private onsen offer a great experience. The dinner and breakfast was fantastic and we would like to thank for the whole experience.
