We had a wonderful stay at Mampei Hotel, a beautiful hotel with a long and rich history. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Mr. Komiyama (if I got his name right), who went out of his way to assist us. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, and it was special to stay at a place once frequented by John Lennon. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a private onsen bath, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The scenic drive in and proximity to the old Ginza street added to the charm. A truly memorable and happy experience.

Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. This place is amazing! Yoshi and Somi make you feel at home. The place is very cozy and very well suited for those snowboarding or skiing. Can't wait to come back.

I Matsumoto, 39 kilometer fra Japan Ukiyo-e museum, ligger Raicho Onsen Inn, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og skiløyper rett utenfor døren. The two indoor onsens and the outdoor onsen were absolutely amazing. You simply reserve a time slot and can enjoy the onsens privately. Breakfast was simple yet delicious with fresh bagels and jam. Free coffee beans are available, so you can make your own coffee or tea anytime. The kitchen area is spacious, cozy, and very clean. The living room is also warm and inviting especially lovely when watching the fire and enjoying a conversation with good company. Also, the staff were wonderfully kind and attentive doing their best to accommodate our needs, helping us with transportation, and making sure we could enjoy the activities we were interested in. Definitely would love to come back!

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was very well-prepared in term of the quality and the presentations , also very delicious. The shuttle service is above my expectations.

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. Very tranquil place to relax and enjoy the nature. The onsen and Harunire Terrace are not far from the B&B and easy to reach via walk or a short ride (the host could take you there in 5 minutes). The owners are kind and warm. Exceptional breakfast. Definitely will come back ^^

I Nagano, bare 20 kilometer fra Zenkoji-tempelet og 22 kilometer fra Nagano stasjon ligger Oshi Ryokan. the location was amazing and the building itself was beautiful, loved the kotatsu and the bath was great.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. This was simply a wonderful ryokan The owners are a lovely couple - very kind and responsive, and they speak English The owner met us at the train station, took us to the Monkey Park, and even showed us where to find some delicious ramen (which we really did enjoy) The ryokan itself has a great onsen - just as good as public ones They also provided us with yukata, which was a nice way to experience Japanese culture At the end of our stay, the owner kindly drove us back to the train station I would absolutely recommend this place- one of the best we’ve ever stayed at!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Great experience, amazing dinner, friendly staff, huge modern room, very nice external onsen on the terrace
