Surrounded by lush greenery, Mampei Hotel offers free WiFi and free on-site private parking. JR Karuizawa Station is a 10-minute drive from this non-smoking accommodation. We had a wonderful stay at Mampei Hotel, a beautiful hotel with a long and rich history. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Mr. Komiyama (if I got his name right), who went out of his way to assist us. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, and it was special to stay at a place once frequented by John Lennon. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a private onsen bath, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The scenic drive in and proximity to the old Ginza street added to the charm. A truly memorable and happy experience.

Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. We really enjoyed our stay at Aibiya. The hosts were very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants and activities which we really appreciated! We had a large, clean room and the breakfast was also very good with local fruits and everything you need. Highly recommended!

Raicho Onsen Inn was our absolute favorite place to stay out of our 2 weeks traveling Japan. It had a friendly and open atmosphere - a great place to meet japanese and international travelers alike. It's a 5 minute walk to the Norikura Tourist Center which is a great place to rent e-bikes to explore the area (we biked Mt.Norikura along the Norikura Echo Line which begins at the tourist center), or grab a drink at their cafe. They also have an onigiri machine, but they run out pretty quickly. There's a yummy restaurant located inside an onsen which is right across the tourist center. There aren't too many walkable options for food, especially if you're a vegetarian, but Raicho Onsen Inn does a beautiful job of letting you know exactly what your options are with a collection of restaurants on their bulletin board. They even have a wonderfully designed large kitchen with inexpensive basic food items available for purchase such as pasta, tuna, canned corn, instant curries, some fresh veggies, etc. You can also purchase breakfast from them which is a bagel with different filling choices. Their computer lounge area is a great place to relax and hang out. We especially enjoyed the onsens, both indoor and outdoor, which are booked privately through a schedule on the wall. The inn is located next to many beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls (the entrance for one was literally 2 minute walk away!) We were only planning on staying 1 night, but my partner and I ended up staying for 3 nights.

Nastanitev ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B je v mestu Chino in nudi brezplačen WiFi, vrt, teraso ter bar. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Nastanitev B&B Hotel Hyochoan je bil odprt avgusta 2012 in ponuja preproste sobe v zahodnem slogu. V sobah sta na voljo brezplačen WiFi in terasa, s katere lahko opazujete ptice. The hosts were simply amazing, exceeding any expectations you may have. I was sick when arriving to the hotel. But, with lots of help and care I received (plus delicious breakfasts and dinner!) I got much better in 3 days spent in Karuizawa and was ready to continue our journey through Japan. We even had a car tour so I could see Karuizawa despite not feeling well. ありがとうございます!

Nastanitev Oshi Ryokan se nahaja v mestu Nagano, 20 km od znamenitosti tempelj Zenkoji in 22 km od znamenitosti postaja Nagano, ter ponuja vrt, brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi in brezplačno... Amazing. Lovely owners. They treat you like a real guest. So loving and caring. Very good food, made with love and care. I'll miss that beautiful place forever.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. You can choose a colorful yukata to wear, wooden clogs or rubber slippers, and go across different onsens in town. A unique experience! Homemade Japanese style breakfast was fantastic.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. We stayed overnight and had a lovely time! The property is very well taken care of, super clean and the room’s are really spacious. The Onsen on the 6th floor is amazing, the outdoor section is a bit small but that’s not an issue since people often come in and out of it. Our hosts took us to the monkey park and then also took us to the train station when it was time for us to leave, everyone was super friendly and kind. Also, make sure to book the half-board meal options, the dinner was not only delicious but also tbh very gourmet. It was overall an amazing experience!

Nastanitev Peanuts House Kumakuma je v mestu Nozawa Onsen, 32 km od znamenitosti Naravni rezervat Jigokudani Monkey Park in 41 km od znamenitosti Živalski vrt Suzaka Zoo. We walked 15 minutes to get to the slopes every morning, it’s right next to the bus stop and close enough to the heart of town without being disturbed by lots of noise or foot traffic. Very peaceful. The house itself is spacious so while it was shared bathrooms, I rarely saw anyone in there at the same time as me and I loved the onsen/hot tub in the basement for washing! It’s a great value for money and was much more comfortable and centrally located than I expected given the price and the shared bathroom. Kimmie, the owner, even made us apple pie one day. Highly recommend!
