Located in downtown Okayama, ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama offers comfortable and bright rooms with free WiFi, only 2-minute walk from JR Okayama Station West Exit. I usually stay at a hotel with more affordable price. But, this hotel has more space and more comfortable. The view from the big window was also nice.

Just a 5-minute walk from JR Okayama Train Station, Okayama Koraku Hotel offers modern rooms with free wired internet and a flat-screen TV. Guests can enjoy massages and free-use bicycles. The hotel is located 25 minutes walk from the train station. There are bus and tram stops nearby. Front Desk staff is very polite, speaks English very well. Breakfast is delicious, F&B staff is very polite. The room is clean and quite spacious. There is lighting in the wardrobe, which is very convenient. On each floor opposite the elevator there is a small exhibition of works by local artists. The weather was warm, so I opened the window. The hotel is located next to a quite busy street with many bars and izakayas, so it was a bit noisy late at night. But the bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy, so it didn't stop me from falling asleep and having a good night's sleep. I was very happy to learn that the hotel team is working to reduce environmental pollution, so they participate in recycling some plastic accessories. In today's society, this is an important topic, so I think it is worth making this information more visible to guests. I only learned about this because I decided to read the hotel's manual lying in the table in the room. In the morning I was able to leave my luggage at the front desk for storage and go to see Okayama Castle, a wonderful Kōraku-en, Okayama Prefectural Museum, Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art, and Okayama Orient Museum.

Originally built in 1889 as a red-brick cotton mill, this historical hotel is just 300 metres from the Bikan Historical Quarter. It features 2 restaurants, a bar and gift shop. Lovely location near shopping and restaurant. Nice onsen and breakfast in hotel. Very clean rooms.

Directly connected to JR Okayama Station, Granvia Okayama is a 15-minute train ride from Kurashiki. Proximity to station Very well appointed and spacious room Incredible staff I lost a piece of luggage and the staff were extremely helpful in locating it for me.

Dormy Inn Kurashiki is a 6-minute walk from Kurashiki Train Station and a 40-minute drive from Okayama Airport. 1. Very close to Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarters which is the main attraction of this city. 2. Free ramen at 9:30pm every night. They even have Christmas special with tomato ramen. 3. Check-in and -out are straight forward and fast.

Staying in a beautiful piece of Japanese modernism was a delight, especially one that's been lovingly cared for. Breakfast was good, and I especially liked I could open our bedroom window. It's also very handy for Bikan neighbourhood.
