Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. This Ryokan is exceptional. So clean and well appointed. The family are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved our dinner in the dining room that we booked in advance. We were very fortunate to be visiting at Christmas time and the Christmas dinner had so much thought and time put into it, making it a very memorable meal and stay for our family.

Amazing location, for starters! Only 2 blocks from the bus/train station, and only about a 10 minutes' walk to the market and historic sector. Many delicious restaurants and convenience stores within a 2-block radius. Upon arriving, we enjoyed observing the ryokan traditions; it made the stay very unique. It made us feel so welcome that the check-in process was done seated in an area of the lounge where we were served hot tea as Thant guided us through everything we would need to know for our stay. He helped us reserve time in the private onsen and also a Japanese-style breakfast (was not included in our lodging plan). We paid for the private onsen and breakfast at check-out. Thant then led us up to our spacious room, where all our luggage was already waiting for us. The beds were incredibly comfortable with a foam topper that we just melted into. Nice, warm shower with good water pressure. The building in general seems to get quite cold, but the heater in our room worked very well, and our room had a kotatsu table that was sooo nice and warm. Also, we were traveling for our honeymoon and were very touched by the thoughtful details that the staff laid out for us in our room.

A very nice room with a sea view (all rooms in the hotel have this!), super clean and big, a very lively and friendly owner who also speaks English! The hotel is a little bizarre, you feel like you're in a film!

I had a perfect relaxing time at Mozumo. All the staffs were very polite, friendly and helpful. The onsen was the highlight for sure, both the private and public ones. Perfect for bathing after a hike at Kamikochi. The room itself was big and very confortable. The location is also great, being about 5-7 minute walk from the bus station.

Everything was amazing. Lovely staff which took very good care of us, amazing onsen, superb ryokan breakfast

يقع Tatsuta Ryokan على بُعد 5 دقائق سيرًا على الأقدام من محطة حافلات Yugashima Onsenguchi التي تقع على بُعد 30 دقيقة بالحافلة من محطة Shuzenji، ويوفر خدمة الواي فاي المجانية في المناطق العامة وأحواض... My second time staying here, this time with family rather than friends. They loved every minute of the onsen experiences and breakfast. If it’s your first time staying here, breakfast is a must even if it’s at least once. I’m excited to come back next time!
