Scandic Vulkan is located right by the Akerselva River and the popular Oslo Food Hall, 5 minutes’ walk from the trendy Grünerløkka district. The receptionist was very helpful and understanding for my request to checkin early. I was recovery from the flu and needed to rest before my meeting. Thank you Johanna! These self-catering apartments are set in a Victorian-era building, 500 metres from Oslo’s Royal Palace and 15 minutes’ walk from Frognerparken Sculpture Park. They offer free WiFi and kitchenettes. The location is superb! The room was clean. Bed, pillows, and other stuff was in a good condition. We are here in Nov but the heater works so well. Worth the money

Room was large and comfortable, buffet breakfast was incredible and staff went out of their way to be helpful. Use of local gym was a real bonus too.
