Nestled between the wild West Coast waves and the towering Southern Alps, Drifting Sands is your ultimate beachfront retreat in Hokitika. Such an amazing spot with beach access. Lovely hosts and facilities were great. The spa was so lush and a bonus being able to take our doggos. Loved the whole experience!!

The seaside cottage was superb, especially the views. All modern convenciences and the cottage was well-maintained like it was still new, it was like staying at someone else's house. The cabins were charming but didn't have enough insulation/heating (we're from the tropics-but those from temperate climes won't mind at all) but they did provide electric blankets. I didn't get to see the Bush cottage where the rest of my friends stayed so can't comment about that. Loved the honesty system no-contact check-in. Just find your name on the board and get the key (and if you're booking doesn't reflect on the board, just get the key and sort it out later with them).
