Set within the mountains in Coron, 600 metres from Mount Tapyas and 2.2 km from Coron Town Proper, this 4-star resort features an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour front desk, and a restaurant and bar.... The suite with the pool view was very spacious with a seating area, large kitchen space and comfy big bed. When you put in the key card it takes a minute for the AC to come on but be patient. Large walk-in shower in the bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served in the restaurant buffet style or you could sit outside and although it was not vast, it was well furnished and tasty. Staff was friendly and conscientious. The family-price Easter dinner for 5 was delicious; 4 generous (chicken, ham and seafood) main dishes, ice tea and fresh fruit platter came to a total of 29€ TOTAL not per person! Other times eaten there- food reasonably priced and quite good. The pool is very large with an attached shallow area and another circular pool area with a seating shelf. Although many people comment on the lack of adequate sun loungers, during the day there were not many people at the pool anyway. There was a chair and side table on the terrace in front of my room in the shade. Outside bar serves drinks and food. The resort is quiet and just on the upper limits of town but only a 20-minute walk to downtown proper. Better option was a 30 peso per person tuktuk (48 centimes) for the 6-min ride which Reception can call for you. Mini-mart (cash only) 12 minute walk just past the McDonalds with ATM just across the street. Great restaurant options in town: Gavin's and Santino's were FABULOUS ! Had my laundry done before heading home so that I arrived with all clean clothes ..pick up and delivery..impeccable and about 6-7€. Arrange with reception. Easy RDV location for marvelous island hopping day tours. Staff was great in all areas, the resort is very well maintained and a perfect location away from the noise and crowds.

Set on a hill, The Riverhouse offers peaceful accommodation in Coron, surrounded by lush greenery. It operates a 24-hour front desk and features an on-site restaurant. We had a wonderful stay here. The location is incredibly peaceful, set right by the river, although it’s worth noting that the rooms themselves don’t have a river view. That said, the open restaurant area overlooks the water and is a lovely place to relax. Judith and her team were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious, private and very comfortable. It’s easy to rent a scooter, which made exploring the northeast a real highlight, especially Lakdayan Beach and the sandbar. One of the standout experiences was the night river tour to see the fireflies, made even more special by the incredible stargazing along the way. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food prepared by the team. Overall, a fantastic few days in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Highly recommended.
