Visiting the Douro region I found the best thing to do is to stay here. You will experience everything Douro region has to offer! Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! La Quinta Vilar e Almarde ofrece alojamiento de estilo rústico y se encuentra en Castelo de Paiva. The family was amazing at the arrival. Amazing place to go and relax with the lovely view and pool area. I 100% recommend this place. Won’t hesitate to come back !

Quinta de S.Bernardo - Winery & Farmhouse is offering accommodation in Mesão Frio. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. Everything about Quinta de S. Bernardo was absolutely fantastic. The service was TOP, the atmosphere, the rooms, the view and the food… wow so good! I mean everything! I could go on and on :) We had the best time and 100% will be back

El Douro Suites, situado en Baião, en la región Norte, a 43 km de Oporto, ofrece pileta exterior y bañera de hidromasaje. Guimarães está a 41 km. Se facilita estacionamiento privado gratuito. El entorno y la confortabilidad de la suite. El personal que nos atendió fue muy amable. Ha sido una estancia estupenda.

The views, the tranquillity and the pool were great. Angela’s hospitality was above every known standard. She invited us to stay and enjoy the pool till late afternoon on our checkout morning, she served us a try of cheeses and snacks with 2 glasses of wine to the pool area, and she gave my husband as a gift a book he started reading from the house library. The dinner Foni clocked us was amazing.
