Located along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, The Peninsula Bangkok offers luxurious guest rooms with full facilities and views of the Chao Phraya River. Authentic Thai-style hotel with happy, genuinely helpful staff. I’m honestly so bored of the global “same-same” hotel design these days—most places look identical wherever you are in the world. So it was refreshing to find a hotel that feels truly Thai, with regional character and a sense of history front and center. That’s what makes it so unique. Great location too, plus a free shuttle in a traditional Thai boat to ICONSIAM and the Mandarin Oriental. Rooms are very stylish yet highly functional. Excellent activities as well—like 6am sunrise yoga at a riverside shrine, cooking classes, and more.

Offering free bike rentals and night bike tour (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday only), the classic, eclectic Old Capital Bike Inn features rooms that are individually appointed with heirloom furniture and... We couldn’t agree more with all the other positive reviews. This is a charming and quirkily designed guest house - we loved it. The accommodation photos represent it well. Staff were lovely - welcoming and couldn’t do more for you. We had the two bedroom annexe room which was comfortable and well equipped, including complimentary water and a few soft drinks. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented, plentiful and tasty. This will be our go to place in Bangkok moving forward - firm family favourite. For those of you visiting during the current works happening on the street outside - we barely heard anything and it certainly didn’t detract from our stay.
