Full of character and fantastic location. Room was large and clean and staff were great. Breakfast was great with a good selection.

Everything about our stay at Charco Hotel was excellent. The room was quiet and cool, the bed very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. We recommend dining in the Charco's restaurant. The food is outstanding and the environment unbeatable.

Located along the shores of Uruguay's Rio de la Plata, Carmelo Resort & Spa features an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a gym and a restaurant in Carmelo. The hotel is more beautiful that it looks in the pictures. Things like the spa and restaurant are not represented in the online pictures of the resort - which is too bad. The pool area is also very nice.

This hotel was hard to find, covered with trees and plants, very well hidden in a thick forest, at the end of a three lined alleyway. But when we got there, we were greeted welcome by Mario, one of the owners, he showed us around, inside and outside, and we instantly felt very much at home in this very special hotel! Cosy warm fire wood heaters in the living room and dining room, a/c in the bedrooms, making it very comfortable in the chilly evenings and mornings. The two dining rooms had large oval tables, where we would socialize with other guests, enjoying long breakfasts and dinners with wine, while Sergio, the other owner, and architect of this special house, together with Mario, told us the history of the hotel and give us a lot of information about the area, with ideas as to what else to explore. Outside this unique hotel there is a large park, ideal to enjoy walks and rest in the natural surroundings. A truly great please to stop for a couple of days, hope to be back soon!

We were able to park in a secure area with limited parking. First come first served. Reception great. Our room was an interior one with no windows on the ground floor. Very quiet. Good continental breakfast with a large quantity of food (cereal, fruit, bread, cheese and ham sandwiches) It's on old building and right in the historic district.

Set in Colonia del Sacramento in the Colonia Region, Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia offers beachfront accommodation with a spa centre. Anchorena National Park is 20 km away. The property was in one of the best locations. The options for breakfast were also fantastic.
