We met a tour guide who has been giving tours around Morocco for 20 years and she said this in her top 3 places to stay in all of Morocco. We had the most relaxing time, eating fantastic food and enjoying the beautiful landscape. What makes this Auberge special is Idriss. His relaxed and joyous demeanour is infectious! I would absolutely recommend having dinner at the auberge to experience their cooking and to walk over to Ait Benhaddou via the palms. Keep an eye out for what we dubbed squirrel mountain to see some adorable squirrels scuttling around. We even witnessed our first moon rise over the adjacent hills which was as magical as it sounds. If you are travelling to this region then definitely stay here, you won't regret it.

The location is great! The car can enter the hotel vicinity with ease. Breakfast and dinner were lovely. Very good service from staff. Hussein is very friendly. He upgraded our room to the one that has the view of Ait Benhaddou. The room is perfect. I love how clean and quaint it is. The bed is comfortable too. We slept very well. At night, you can take good starry night photos. I highly recommend staying here.

They showed me to my room and then offered the traditional mint tea on the terrace to enjoy the magnificent view to the Kasbah. The monument lies on the other side of the stream making it reachable, just at your doorstep. It was a bit cold due to the time of the year, but we got a little heater, which helped a lot. If you pay a few euros more, take the biggest room (with toilet and shower seperate). It's the nicest.

For our second evening we asked for dinner and the 3-course meal was among the best we had during our 10-day stay in Morocco. The breakfast was another level too.... We almost felt bad haha. So much pastries and extra's. Definitely the best during our trip.
