A mysterious mountain range in south-western Germany, the Black Forest evokes images of wild, dark forests and quiet paths with hidden castles and ruins. In fact, this is a very vibrant region with popular wine routes, roaring waterfalls and charming little towns, always full of things to see and do.

However, the biggest kick comes from the Black Forest’s nature and landscape -of its densely forested mountain peaks, Feldberg is the highest at 1,493 metres and the birthplace of the Danube River. Follow its hiking footpaths to see the Titisee and Schluchsee lakes, the most famous German waterfalls of the Triberg and the popular River Wutach gorge.

The region is famous for its crafts, particularly the precision clock making and wood crafting, both coming together in the art of cuckoo clocks, symbolic of the entire Black Forest. There are not as famous as a certain delicacy though: the renowned Black Forest cake, a delicious combination of chocolate, sour cherries, Kirch brandy and cream. An absolute must-try!

Hotel amb instal-lacions excepcionals. El personal del restaurant molt atent i amable. Val la pena sopar al restaurant de l'hotel, la terrassa és fabulosa per una nit d'estiu i el menjar boníssim. Esmorzar espectacular! Bon cafè, gran assortiment d'embotits típics, formatges, plats calents.... Des de l'hotel hi ha múltiples rutes de senderisme. Molt recomanable!

Als afores de l'aglomeració de Basilea, però en territori...

Als afores de l'aglomeració de Basilea, però en territori alemany. Disposa d'un bon supermercat. Fàcil accés a l'autopista per visitar la Selva Negra i Alsàcia i per desplaçar-te per Suïssa. Molt a prop de l'aeroport. El poble és agradable sense arribar a encantador. Al mateix municipi hi ha el Vitra Campus, molt recomanable per als qui els agrada l'arquitectura moderna i el disseny de mobles. Molt a prop, però ja dins de Basilea, hi ha la Fundació Beyeler, en un edifici de Renzo Piano que acull una interessant mostra d'avantguardes històriques en pintura i escultura,

Es una ciutat que val la pena conèixer per Nadal amb els...

Es una ciutat que val la pena conèixer per Nadal amb els Mercxats de Nadal i tota l'il·luminació. El centre també és molt bonic de veure, en dos dies pots visitar-la però si t'hi estàs més dies pots anar a visitar un munt de pobles al voltant, recomanem especialment; Gengenbach i Baden-Baden
