Ryokans in Kyoto

The staffs were all super friendly and they took care of me and my family so well. And it was good that I could communicate with them in English quite well.

The property was extremely cleaning and looked amazing.

The staff were so kind and patient with us since we were late checking in. The futons were very comfortable and the garden off the room was a peaceful respite. Breakfast was superb. The hot springs fed tub will bring me back again and again.

The people are very friendly and helpful, and they were very attentively our child visitor. We could feel at home in this peaceful place in the very busy city. There is also a nice onsen.

We stayed here for one night and absolutely loved the experience. The ryokan is beautiful, cozy, and full of history. The hosts were incredibly kind. They showed us around the 100 year old ryokan and even prepared a small tea ceremony for us, which was such a lovely surprise. Our room, Satsuki, with its private garden was peaceful and relaxing. The evening onsen was wonderful. The hot water, the scent of wood, and the calm atmosphere made it unforgettable. We also enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast very much. Everything was prepared with great care. We will definitely come back again for a longer stay.

The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. Several staff helped me arrange a reservation on the outskirts of Kyoto and were very attentive to ensure I traveled there correctly.

Everything has been amazing! A full immersion in Japanese culture! The staff is kind and considerate, the rooms directly from a movie, the dinner delicious. We felt welcome from the first minute to the last. Our host was lovely: she took very well care of us. She made sure to satisfy our needs and requests in such a kind and professional way. This warm, welcoming behavior was far beyond what we could expect, and it was absolutely excellent.

A clean, calm, comfortable stay. Has a wonderful restaurant on-site. The hot pot was one of our best meals in Japan.

The best part, hands down, is the private onsen (if you choose that option). Nothing felt more relaxing after a long day of exploration than melting in the onsen; your muscles will thank you.

i like the location literately in the mountains so waking up surrounded by forrest was great. The staff were very accommodating with our small children the ryokan breakfast was limited to what our children are used to eating but staff went above and beyond and made omelette for them.

The hotel’s location is very great. We can take a stroll through the night street void of people which is really beautiful without any need to worry about the time and the early morning view from the togetsukyou bridge is superb. It’s an exceptional experience that we think it’s truly fulfilling. The staff are polite and provide good service.

The inn keeper was super nice and super helpful. The room was small, but you can hang out in the kitchen and the whole place was very cozy. The location was also great, as we could go to kyoto station in around 5 minutes and had many konbini close by.

This was an amazing experience because a chose a traditional japanese ryokan room with no bed or chairs just the tatami with the thin mattress and the tea table. However the bathroom was fully equipped and modern. They gave me nice amenities and restituted them each day. The guys at the front desk were very nice and did the best they could to make me feel at home and well taken care of. Probably the best thing the hotel has is the onzen (spa) they have downstairs where you can unwind from a tiring day visiting the city. Really nice and free of charge. I also took a japanese breakfast one day and the food was delicious and the girl in charge of the service was very nice and educated. Last but not least, the location is unbeatable since you only have to walk out of the Kyoto Station upon arrival and cross the street to get there. A lot of restaurants and bars nearby yet the area is not crazy busy but just nice.

Awesome location especially if looking to stay near Chabad House. Rooms were gorgeous and authentic and large!

Lunch and breakfast arr extraordinary. Easily accessible from the bus station walking through the village. Room was nice and traditionnal and the onsen were spectacular !
