This was literally the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It was so tranquil and beyond relaxing. Every detail on the property was meticulously thought through, the service was impeccable and the food was AMAZING! I only wished we could have stayed longer.

This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. room is spacious enough. parking is also convenient. dinner is beautiful and we had lots of fun cooking some dishes ourselves. the menu is different every day and they really put an effort in that.

Nice hotel facing Lake Kawaguchiko, the onsen was great! Breakfast was okay. Room is super spacious, fully equipped with open air hot bath. Staffs were all super nice and helpful, even helped us to book the highway bus.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Very interesting place: comfortable (real futons, tasty tea, wonderful breakfast), good placed (pedestrian street, temple nearby, a bunch of cafes). People who work there are friendly and always can help you.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The room was very big and comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra night, and the staff was able to accomodate our needs immediately. The location is great, just a couple blocks away from the train station and 15 min walk from the historic area of the city
