Overlooking picturesque Kawaguchi Lake in the serene Mount Fuji area, Rakuyu boasts comfortable guest rooms and natural hot spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Everything - room was way bigger than expected, with 2 full size rooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony and a sitting down area. Also, the hot tub/private onsen was way bigger than it seemed in the photos, and could easily fit 2 people at the same time. The onsen room was also way better looking than in the photos. Also, despite saying that it doesn’t serve dinner, the ‘light meals’ at the lounge are more than enough to satisfy given you can take as many as you want, and quite delicious. My favourite meals here were during the tea time though, so make sure not to miss it.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Everything , staff is really kind - I left my backpack at the bus and they immediately offered to call and support finding the whereabouts! Also the dinner experience is incredible, from food , to presentation. The room was very clean , had a wonderful view and the onsen was also amazing. Will definitely recommend it to all my friends!

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Service was the best. Food was excellent. Very recommended

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Amazing Location, high ended installation of the Room, breacfast very delicious, staff was very friendly And pleasant. Highly recomended Please ask the staff about parking in advance

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. We spent Christmas Day here. Very traditional, clean and welcoming. The photos on Booking.com did not do this place justice. Staff were helpful, and offered advice about the local market. How to use the Onsen and etiquette about shoes/slippers and provided traditional wear whilst staying at the Ryoken everyone wore them, regardless of nationality, which made the evening meal very special. The 13 course dinner was really a whole experience that we won’t forget. We opted for the Japanese breakfast, again beautifully presented with a lot of food. All food was produced locally which was great too. Lots of art and historical pieces to browse and staff happy to talk you through. Rooms were comfortable clean and traditional. We had room 311 which was a family room with a bedroom and matted area where futons were laid out for additional guests. The room was large enough for us to accommodate 6 adults for after dinner drinks. Was really close to the train and bus station and we caught the ski shuttle bus and went skiing for the day. Very much one of the best parts of our stay.

Only 2 blocks from the bus/train station, and only about a 10 minutes' walk to the market and historic sector. Many delicious restaurants and convenience stores within a 2-block radius. Upon arriving, we enjoyed observing the ryokan traditions; it made the stay very unique. It made us feel so welcome that the check-in process was done seated in an area of the lounge where we were served hot tea as Thant guided us through everything we would need to know for our stay. He helped us reserve time in the private onsen and also a Japanese-style breakfast (was not included in our lodging plan). We paid for the private onsen and breakfast at check-out. Thant then led us up to our spacious room, where all our luggage was already waiting for us. The beds were incredibly comfortable with a foam topper that we just melted into. Nice, warm shower with good water pressure. The building in general seems to get quite cold, but the heater in our room worked very well, and our room had a kotatsu table that was sooo nice and warm. Also, we were traveling for our honeymoon and were very touched by the thoughtful details that the staff laid out for us in our room.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This is my second time to stay at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono. The staff are very welcome and willing to help. Very clean and the most important is that they have a private onsen inside the suite.
