This was literally the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It was so tranquil and beyond relaxing. Every detail on the property was meticulously thought through, the service was impeccable and the food was AMAZING! I only wished we could have stayed longer.

This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Overlooking picturesque Kawaguchi Lake in the serene Mount Fuji area, Rakuyu boasts comfortable guest rooms and natural hot spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. This hotel gave us truly majestic experience! We had a stunning, stylish room with a beautiful view of Lake Kawaguchi. The breakfast and bar service offered a good selection of food and drinks, everything was delicious. The staff spoke excellent English and explained everything clearly. We appreciated the provided slippers and yukata. The location is perfect for exploring the lake area and close to the Mt. Fuji panoramic ropeway, shops and restaurants. The service of transport to and from the Kawaguchiko station was also very convenient. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Absolutely amazing stay with views to the lake and the mt Fuji. The staff was welcoming and extremely nice. They accomodated any needs we had and I am sure they are capable of more. We were able to borrow bikes and enjoyed the ride around the lake. The room is bright and beautiful. The onsen has fantastic views for the perfect sunset.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Very interesting place: comfortable (real futons, tasty tea, wonderful breakfast), good placed (pedestrian street, temple nearby, a bunch of cafes). People who work there are friendly and always can help you.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Hotel was great! The traditional vibes was immaculate and the traditional breakfast and dinner options was a really good experience. Staff was really friendly and explained how all the electronics and remote controls work at the start which really helped us have a comfortable stay. At the end of the stay, the staff even sent us to the bus station without us asking as it was snowing and she mentioned it would be difficult for us to drag the luggage to the bus station 😭. Overall it was an amazing experience and I recommend all to stay here during your time in takayama!

Terletak hanya 2 minit berjalan kaki dari Stesen Takayama, Oyado Koto No Yume menawarkan bilik-bilik gaya Jepun dengan sentuhan berwarna-warni. The hosts did a lot to accommodate us and gave a very good service. We received some tea on arrival and some nice gifts upon departure and during our stay we could taste local sake and plum wine.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. Very classic Japanese style hotel. The food is amazing.
